WE KNOW WHAT IS COMING

I believe as the world comes to an end, millions or billions of Christians will be speechless when they see Jesus and His angels descending from heaven to give us what we deserve! Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me in that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' Would we not become speechless when we hear Jesus say to us, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' Don’t be surprised and become “bisu” or “gagu” or speechless and mute because we already know what is coming to us. Jesus said that lawbreakers will not enter the kingdom of heaven. People who do not keep His commandments, and people who do not ...

WORK OR GRACE?

Debates have been raging for years or centuries over the issue of work vs grace. Hard-headed Paul fanatics persist, even among the Seventh Day Adventists, that Paul was right when he wrote that we are saved by grace, and not work. James and Jesus, on the other hand, said that we are saved by work. Read here what Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.  "Many will say to Me in that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' Matthew 7:21-23. Many who say  `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name' are not saved because they cannot show work that God can accept. They are lawbreakers. They do not do work that God ...

WHO IS RIGHT?

According to Jesus, we are saved by work and not by faith.  Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness !'" According to Paul, we are saved by grace and not work because work will make us boast. Paul wrote, “For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9).    According to James, we are saved by faith and work. James said, “But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see ...

MORE, MORE, AND MORE..

I woke up this morning and was very surprised to hear a voice say these words to me, “The more you want from this world, the more difficult and the harder it is to pass the narrow road to heaven.” I have never heard or read these warnings before from anyone, not from my mother, not from my preachers, not from the Bible teacher, and not from the Biblical scholars on the Internet.  What has my “want" have to do with preparing myself for the Kingdom of God, I ask? And so, I decided to search the Scripture and see what Jesus had said about our wants. First, I look at the Ten Commandments. There are not too many wants that I see there except in Exodus 20:17, "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that [is] your neighbor's." When we do this, it is the equivalent of stealing.  When I take my neighbor’s wife, I am stealing his wife f...

FAITH AND WORK

Paul wrote, “For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9).  James, however, says, “But do you want to know, O foolish man , that faith without works is dead ? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works, faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2:20-24,26. I have decided tonight to write about faith and work. Here's where I see most Christians are confused. They think that through faith alone they can get what they want. They think that through faith alo...
