DEAL OR NO DEAL

The Apostle Peter wrote in 2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning [His] promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance .” Jesus said in John 10:27-28, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life , and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” Repentance and eternal life, that’s the best deal that Jesus offers to us! The prerequisite to eternal life, however, is repentance. Without repentance, there is no eternal life, except in unusual circumstances, such as the thief on the cross. What does the world offer us? Here is a sample of what the world offers us. Jesus Took Away the Old Law —The Law posed a problem; Jesus provided the solution We continue our study of three things that Jesus took away... 1 The Law Posed a Problem God’s law has always been perfectly right and just and merciful. This was true o...

THE TIME IS NOW

Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me in that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness !'” Matthew 7:21-23. In John 14:15 Jesus said, "If you love Me,  keep My commandments.” Do you know why Jesus rejected these men of faith as described in Matthew 7:21-23? Because they did not follow the law! They did not love Jesus and did not keep His commandments. Jesus expects them to already know His Law. Jesus expects us to be already practicing His Law on earth. But these men of faith were practicing lawlessness. They did not follow His law. Do these men of faith think that they are under “grace” and that they can begin to learn to follow the law when they are in He...

I BELIEVE

"Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John 14:15. Brothers and Sisters. Do you know why Jesus said if you love Me keep My commandments? He wants to make sure that we know that when He returns with the new earth, NOT one lawless practitioner will have a place in the new home. Today’s lawless practitioners will live with other lawless practitioners from previous generations in a special “home” that God has prepared for them. Jesus said, "The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.” John 7:7. Do ...

GRACE IS A FRAUD

Grace is a scam. How do I know that? It’s no secret that everybody knows that “grace” as we know it is a scam. It is a fraud to cover sin . People are attracted to the church because of promises of "grace" by the church. Believers do not have to work, or follow the law, to be saved. Faith alone is adequate to be saved. In other words, if you believe that you are saved, you are saved. Is Heaven that cheap? Is it that easy to go to Heaven? The apostle Paul wrote, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9. Jesus, however, said in Matthew 7:21-23, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to th...

THREAT OF CHRISTIANITY

Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, "Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad!" Acts 26:24. Today I am going to write something that I have not written before, and that is about Festus, a Jewish leader, before whom Paul appealed to explain himself against the capital charges made against him. Festus must have known that Paul was a highly educated man. As Paul was presenting his defense, Festus said to Paul with a loud voice, "Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad!" Acts 26:24. I suspect that Festus, an educated man on legal matters, does not understand what Paul says. He thinks that too much learning makes Paul mad. When I read what Festus said to Paul, I am not surprised at all.  I have always suspected that the reason why there are over 45,000 Christian denominations all over the world was because they are all   confused   from reading or interpreting Paul’s writing - too much reading o...
