The Truth

I suspect that many readers who have read what I wrote in my postings during the past year or so must have thought that they are a bunch of “hyperboles”. No, they are not. They are the truth, and nothing but the truth! I am witnessing for Jesus Christ. I am also witnessing for Him who had sent Jesus to the world! Remember the story of Noah? Nobody believes him. Some thought that he may be out of his mind. But only he found grace in the eyes of the Lord, he and a handful of his family members, and the rest all perished. No, his messages were not “hyperboles”. "For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,” Matthew 24:38. “Hyperboles” killed them all! What happens when Jesus returns? What happens to those who died during the big flood? Would Jesus’ death also pay for their sins? God intentionally killed them! The apostle Paul wrote, “ For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. ” Romans 6:14. Readers, how do we know that adultery is a sin if there is no law that says that adultery is a sin? How do we know that not keeping the Sabbath holy is a sin if there is no law that says that we must keep the Sabbath holy? How do we know that worshipping more than one god is a sin if there is no law that says, "You shall have no other gods before me." Exodus 20:3. We don't know. "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who  does the will of My Father in heaven . "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' Good morning readers and happy seventh day of the week, the Sabbath of the Lord. This morning I want to approach a text in the Bible differently. It is different from what I heard in church since I was a little kid. It’s different from what I heard in school, in a Protestant elementary school, or in a Catholic s chool. The focus there was on JESUS , nothing but Jesus! However, Jesus said, " He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me . "For I have not spoken on My own [authority]; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. "And I know that His command is everlasting life . Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak." John 12:44,49-50. Readers, do we understand what Jesus has said? Readers, why do you think Jesus has chosen a disciple, Judas Iscariot, who stabbed Jesus in the back? Do you think Jesus doesn’t know that Judas will betray Him? Do you think that Jesus didn't know that Judas Iscariot would betray Him before He decided to select him as His disciple? I am sure He knew. But why does it have to be one of His workers who does the dirty job, why? I think Jesus must have a reason why He has chosen a traitor to be His disciple or worker. The reason, I believe, is that He wants us to know not to trust every worker who works for Him. They, instead, should be treated as suspects until proven innocent. Just because they work to spread the gospel does not mean that they have Jesus in their heart. Today is Sunday, a day of rest to worship God by millions of Christians all over the world, Indonesia, America, Australia, Uganda, Canada, Russia, North Pole, South Pole, everywhere. That’s the good news. Christian preachers and their wives are doing a good job of selling Jesus. I have a job too. But my job is not to sell Jesus. My job is to tell you, my readers, what JESUS says. The apostle Paul’s “law of Christ” tells us to love God and to love others. HOW do we love God and HOW do we love others, nobody knows. Satan doesn’t know. And he doesn’t want us to know it either. Most Christian pastors, preachers, and priests don’t know either. But Jesus knows. Jesus said, “If you love Me keep My commandments”; “ He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."   John 14:15,21. The apostle Paul agrees. “Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God [is what matters].”   1 Corinthians 7:19.
