HOW CAN WE TELL?
Readers, how can you tell if someone is telling you the truth or not? If you are a defendant in a court case, the plaintiff can ask you direct questions, or he can ask you written questions for you to answer under oath. There are some good reasons why a plaintiff might choose one method of questioning over the other which I am not going to discuss here. But the whole purpose is to determine whether the respondent is telling the truth or not. Whether you are telling the truth or not. Jesus talks in the Bible a lot about false teachers and false prophets. Why are there so many false teachers and false prophets? My short answer is to find a job. But many don’t have the skill to correctly interpret and understand the Bible, a Law text. They are not prepared to practice the law, but they are calling themselves “lawyers”.
