HOW CAN WE TELL?
Readers, how can you tell if someone is telling you the truth or not? If you are a defendant in a court case, the plaintiff can ask you direct questions, or he can ask you written questions for you to answer under oath. There are some good reasons why a plaintiff might choose one method of questioning over the other which I am not going to discuss here. But the whole purpose is to determine whether the respondent is telling the truth or not. Whether you are telling the truth or not.
Jesus talks in the Bible a lot about false teachers and false prophets. Why are there so many false teachers and false prophets? My short answer is to find a job. But many don’t have the skill to correctly interpret and understand the Bible, a Law text. They are not prepared to practice the law, but they are calling themselves “lawyers”. That’s why Jesus calls them “lawlessness practitioners.” They don’t know the law, but they want to interpret the law. In order to know the will of Jesus’ Father, as Jesus had described in Matthew 7:21-23, we have to know the law. There is no way to understand what the Bible says by circumventing the law. The reason is because the Bible is a law book.
So, where do we start if we don’t want Jesus to label us “lawlessness practitioners”? How can we know the will of Jesus’ Father? Here’s how to do it. Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?"Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.” John 14:15,21-24.
We have to do everything that we can to avoid being called “lawlessness practitioners” by Jesus. And here’s why. "The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” Matthew 13:41-43. Bro, Jesus said, "The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” Whom did Jesus say will be cast into the furnace of fire? Certainly not those who have little or no faith. NO! But those who practice lawlessness will go straight to hell, no detour! Knowing the law and following the law, therefore, is CRITICAL for our salvation, and not merely faith! Here is another example why faith is not important if we practice lawlessness. Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23. Jesus sent these men/women of great faith straight to hell because they practice lawlessness. They are defiant and disobedient people, and they are not people of no or little faith. Brothers and Sisters, I hope you believe what I have said. I gave you the correct interpretation of the message that God wants me to pass on to you. God bless.
