THE PARABLES OF JESUS

One of the ways that Jesus like to teach was through parables. It is easier to understand, so they say. I disagree unless the reader can understand what he/she reads or hears.  Not every parable that Jesus used is that simple to understand. Some parables can be interpreted in more than one way. For example, read this parable in Matthew 15:10-20. “When He had called the multitude to [Himself], He said to them, "Hear and  understand : "Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but  what comes   out of the mouth , this defiles a man." Here Jesus was talking about words that come out of our mouths that can defile us and not foods that come in or out of our mouths! Then His disciples came and said to Him, "Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?" But He answered and said, "Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. "Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads t...

THE GREAT CONSPIRACY

This afternoon I am going to talk about a topic that sells really well in Christian churches throughout the world. Preachers and ministers are selling “GRACE” like hotcakes. And the obvious reason why they are selling “grace” is to replace God’s will with their will, from work to no work. That was the plan (conspiracy) that they set out to do since Jesus was on earth thousands of years ago - replace His will with our will. When His disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray here is what Jesus said, "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as [it is] in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Matthew 6:9-13. Jesus knew that some of His followers want to do their will and not God’s will. And that was w...

THE REASON

The reason why we have so many relationship problems at home between husbands and wives, children and parents, brothers and sisters, and so forth is very obvious if we know and memorized the teachings of Jesus Christ. "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one . For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Matthew 6:9-13. Your will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven. This is the reason why we have so many problems not only in our relationships at home, at work, in church, or even with God, and that is because we want to do our will , and not God’s will - Your will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven. When we do our will, we can go wrong. But if we do God’s will, we cannot go wrong. We can ne...

YOUR WILL BE DONE

"In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Matthew 6:9-13. Jesus' disciples asked Jesus how to pray. And Jesus told them this is how to pray. Do we pray like He told us to pray? No, we do not. Then why do we ask Him how to pray and not pray the way He taught us to pray? Why? I think most ministers and preachers think that they know more than Jesus about prayer. Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John 14:15 Do we keep His commandments? No, we do not. Why do we not keep His commandments? Because preachers and ministers think that they know more than Jesus about His commandments. When Jesus died on the cross His commandments died wi...

WHY DO WE HAVE TO BE BORN AGAIN?

In John 3:3 Jesus said to Nicodemus, "Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."  Nicodemus then asked, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:4-6. Jesus makes a distinction between being born of "water" (born of the flesh) and being born of the Spirit (practice righteousness). Being born of the flesh is impossible when we are old. But being born of the Spirit is possible. Born again means that we must have a good conscience like little children if we want to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. We must obey God and do what He wants us to do. We must be obedient to the voice of God. And we must repent! This is the key to our ...

IS IT PLANNED?

“Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.  In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest:  Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor [is] he who does not love his brother.” 1 John 3:9-10. In other words, those who do not practice righteousness are the children of the devil, the Apostle John said. Many Christians believe that they have been born of God and do not sin; they cannot sin because they have been born of God. According to John, however, if they do not practice righteousness they are not of God. Okay, what does being born of God mean? Is an individual who is just baptized with holy water or pool water born of God? Are they born of God? No, not guaranteed. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, are we born of God? No, not guaranteed either. What must we do then to be born of God? According to John, we must practice righteousness . What is si...

DECEPTION

When a new convert is led to believe by his/her pastor or preacher that he/she can claim the promises in the Bible without clearly giving the terms, express or implied, that accompany the promises, I think that is very wrong! That is a form of deception! Some preachers exaggerate God’s promises in the Bible with the intent to get a quick conversion. This is also wrong! Preachers and ministers should be honest and transparent in anything that they do or say. For example, many, if not most of the converts believe that once they believe in Jesus, Satan cannot snatch them away from Jesus. This is not true. That is false teaching and a wrong interpretation of Jesus' words! My favorite preacher whom I have followed for more than 20 years one day decided to retire. I could not understand why is he retiring at such a young age, 60 years of age. Later I discovered that he eloped with a young married female preacher about half his age from the same denomination and left his old wife behind....
