DECEPTION

When a new convert is led to believe by his/her pastor or preacher that he/she can claim the promises in the Bible without clearly giving the terms, express or implied, that accompany the promises, I think that is very wrong! That is a form of deception!
Some preachers exaggerate God’s promises in the Bible with the intent to get a quick conversion. This is also wrong! Preachers and ministers should be honest and transparent in anything that they do or say. For example, many, if not most of the converts believe that once they believe in Jesus, Satan cannot snatch them away from Jesus. This is not true. That is false teaching and a wrong interpretation of Jesus' words!
My favorite preacher whom I have followed for more than 20 years one day decided to retire. I could not understand why is he retiring at such a young age, 60 years of age.
Later I discovered that he eloped with a young married female preacher about half his age from the same denomination and left his old wife behind. He probably thinks that He can claim Jesus' promises of John 10:27-31. Does God want him to live in sin? No, I don’t think so. That was his choice.

Ministers and Preachers should always be truthful and credible in what they say. They are God’s representatives on earth.

See, for example, here what Jesus said in John 10:27-31 Jesus said,

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given [them] to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch [them] out of My Father's hand. I and [My] Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him.” What I will say next may surprise or shock you, but please don’t throw shoes or stones at me.

The promise of Jesus in John 10 was given to His sheep who follow Him.

Are you His sheep? Ask yourself first if you are His sheep and if you follow Him? If you follow Paul, Peter, and the other disciples, you are not His sheep. Jesus is the Chief Commander, and we follow Him.

Following Him is the critical condition that we must meet before we can claim His promise and not grace. If we do not follow Him, and if we do not do what He tells us to do, why do we want to claim anything from Him? This is the fatal mistake that believers often make. We think that everything that comes out of the mouth of Paul must come from Heaven, even though they contradict what Jesus said.

Jesus said in John 7:7, "The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.” Do preachers and ministers know why Jesus said the world is evil?

Repeat, do preachers and ministers know why Jesus said the world is evil? Is it because we still need the Torah? Or is it because we no longer need the Torah? I believe the world is evil because we still need the Torah.
We still need to work, work, and work. But Paul said something different. Paul and most Christian preachers and ministers don’t believe in work. They believe in “grace”. They follow Paul. So then, why do we claim the promises of eternal life from Jesus when we follow Paul? Jesus said in John 10:27-31, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given [them] to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch [them] out of My Father's hand. I and [My] Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him.” Who receives eternal life? According to Jesus, He gives eternal life to His sheep. And how do we know that we are His sheep?
We know that we are His sheep when we follow Him. We know that we are His sheep when we do what He wants us to do. Are we doing what He wants us to do? Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments." John 14:15. Are we keeping His commandments? No, we are not. Why? Because our preacher told us that His commandments were nailed on the cross when He was nailed on the cross. See that?
Can we not know anything for ourselves other than what our preacher says?
Our preacher, our preacher, and more of our preacher.
If we want to claim Jesus’ promises, we have to follow Jesus, and not follow Paul, Peter, Matthew, or our preacher.
Just because my ex-preacher is a worker of God does not mean that it will give him a guarantee that Satan cannot snatch him away from the hand of God.
Satan can take anyone away from the hand of Jesus if we refuse to hear His voice, and if we refuse to follow Him. That's our choice.
This is the message of Truth that Preachers and Ministers must tell all their converts!
We should quit raising converts' hope when there is none.
