WHY DID JESUS COME?
What did Jesus say why He came to earth? In Matthew 5:17-18 Jesus said, "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill . "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one title will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.” This, what He said, tells us of the unchanging nature of God’s words. God’s law is eternal until all is fulfilled, until the end of the world, until Jesus returns for the second time. Jesus came to fulfill the prophecy, and not to change the law. Jesus did not make the law. God the Father made the Sabbath law. Any changes made to the law, therefore, before Jesus returns comes from Satan, and not from God. Satan, using humans, made the changes to the law.
