ONE COMMANDMENT AT A TIME (6)

God said, “You shall not commit adultery” Exodus 20:14. Why is adultery a sin? Why is anything a sin? What is or what is not a sin is defined by God, and not by us. And God uses “sin” to screen anyone from entering heaven. When God first created Adam and Eve there was no sin. Sin came about when Adam and Eve disobeyed God.
They were promptly evicted from their home for disobeying God. And ever since that time sin is defined as disobedience to God’s commandments, and not only stealing, murdering, or not keeping the Sabbath holy. Many newborn Christians still do not understand that disobeying God’s commandments is sin. Look, what did Adam and Eve do which cost them their eternal lie? Did they murder anyone?
No. They ate what God had told them not to eat. They disobeyed God. And so, I hope my readers understand that the screening test that God uses on us is not what we eat or drink only. The screening test is whether or not we are obedient to Him.
Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” Matthew 7:21.
Readers, do you know who is the one who will do the will of Jesus' Father in heaven?
He must be an obedient person. God, please help my readers to understand this.
