ONE COMMANDMENT AT A TIME (9)

God said, "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that [is] your neighbor's." Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw [it], they trembled and stood far off. Then they said to Moses, "You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die." Exodus 20:17-19. Readers, we have come to the end of the Ten Commandments. They are all important Commandments. When I was young, I had violated almost all of them. I am ashamed of what I have done, and I regret it. Now comes sharing time. I learned from my past mistakes. I learned about generational curses from the people who have violated this law, "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that [is] your neighbor's."  One of my brothers died at a very young age. He has one 5-year-old daughter. He eloped with the teenage daughter of his wife, from a previous marriage. My brother’s wife was furious at my brother, and so was the girl’s father. But my brother did not care. My mother was living in California. She invited my brother, his new wife, and their young son to come to America. She paid for their plane tickets. One morning my wife and I decided to visit them in their apartment in Jakarta before they leave for the US. The landlord lady told me that an ambulance had taken my brother to a hospital. I rushed to the hospital, and when I got there, he was already dead. Cause of death unknown. His 5 year old daughter who is now 50 years old recently died of cancer. His new wife also died of cancer. His only son lives in Canada with his wife.
Readers, the Ten Commandments is not a joke. If you don’t remember all that I have written, remember this: "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that [is] your neighbor's." Anything that was not yours return them. God bless.
