Jesus, the COMMANDER IN CHIEF of HEAVEN said, "But many [who are] first will be last, and the last first.” (Matthew 19:30). What did He mean by this? I am going to explain to you the meaning of what He said by giving you some examples from the Bible. But first I want my readers to understand what Jesus said here. "But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” Matthew 24:13. Judas Iscariot was a good example of one of the many who came first but was last. Judas Iscariot was called but he was not chosen. He did not stay faithful until the end. He did not endure till the end. Jesus said only those who endure till the end will be saved! There are many Christians who believed that they have been saved because they have been Christians for 50 years, just like those Christians described in Matthew 7:21-23, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
