MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE

Jesus said, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” (John 10:27,28).
"But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” (Matthew 24:13).

What did Jesus say? Jesus said that His sheep hear His voice, He knows them. and they follow Him. And they will stay faithful to Him until the end. This is a short summary of the people whom Jesus will save - His sheep.

Are we His sheep? This is the first question that we should ask. Do we know who our Shepherd is? Many Christians of today do not know who their Shepherd is other than Paul or their Bible teachers. Why? Because those are the people whom they follow. Do we know who our Shepherd is? No, I don't believe we know when we have so many Christian denominations or groups globally. When Jesus was on earth thousands of years ago we had only one body of Christ. Today we have more than 45,000 Protestant denominations or groups teaching new and different messages of Paul and other prophets whom I have never heard before, like the one in Waco, Texas.  In the U.S alone there are more than 1,200. It is estimated in 2020 that there are 2.38 billion+ Christians globally. Why are there so many Christian denominations, or groups worldwide? If you ask me my simple answer is that most of them are confused! When Jesus was on earth there was only one denomination, the Jesus' denomination. Their members were few and they were mainly fishermen, carpenters, and people with no job or title. After Jesus ascended to heaven, His followers exploded thanks to the work of His disciples and others who believe in Jesus. But after Jesus left to heaven the teachings of the Apostle Paul replaced the teachings of Jesus Christ, and many Christians followed the teachings of Paul even though they did not fully understand what Paul said or what they read in the Bible, and so they ignored the teachings of God the Son and God the Father. In a sense, Paul is their Shepherd. Why? Because they follow the teachings of Paul. Many parts of the Bible were written by Paul and greatly influenced the thinking and belief of Christians until today. In addition, the Catholic church and Martin Luther played a major role in shaping the practices of the Protestant churches.

Paul, as we know, is an intelligent man. He was trained as a lawyer. He argues like a lawyer, he thinks like a lawyer, and he writes like a lawyer. And most Christians, unfortunately, who read the Bible and read Paul's writings are not lawyers or politicians. Every leader of a Christian denomination or group interprets Paul's writings differently, and consequently, we now have over 45,000 Christian denominations or groups when there were only one or two when Jesus was on earth.

Jesus said that His sheep hear His voice and follow Him.

Do we hear His voice? Do we follow Him? No, we do not!

If we did not hear His voice and we did not follow Him, whose sheep are we? Are we the LOST sheep? Who is our Shepherd?

Would there be any of MY-SHEEP left to welcome Jesus when He returns?
