PROPHECIES
Jesus, the COMMANDER IN CHIEF of HEAVEN said, "But many [who are] first will be last, and the last first.” (Matthew 19:30). What did He mean by this? I am going to explain to you the meaning of what He said by giving you some examples from the Bible. But first I want my readers to understand what Jesus said here. "But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” Matthew 24:13.
Judas Iscariot was a good example of one of the many who came first but was last. Judas Iscariot was called but he was not chosen. He did not stay faithful until the end. He did not endure till the end. Jesus said only those who endure till the end will be saved! There are many Christians who believed that they have been saved because they have been Christians for 50 years, just like those Christians described in Matthew 7:21-23, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Brothers and sisters, let me assure you that what we think or believe does not matter. What God thinks about us is what counts, and nothing else! We may think that we are already saved, but when Jesus returns we hear Him say to us, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' You don’t have to believe me Bro. Salvation is not for everyone. Jesus said, "But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” Matthew 24:13.
One of the thieves on the cross whom Jesus saved was a perfect example of one who came last but was first. He did a lot of bad things in his life, he did a lot of ugly things before he was crucified, but finally, when he surrendered himself to the authority of the COMMANDER IN CHIEF, Jesus saved him at the LAST minute of his life. He came last, but when Jesus saved him he came first. It has nothing to do with his past. It has everything to do with his deeds - he surrendered himself to Jesus at the last minute. Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom. And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise." (Luke 23:42-43). He instantly earned God's grace. What a beautiful sight to watch. If he had been quiet and did not say a word to Jesus, I don’t believe Jesus would have saved him. Jesus did not save the other thief, did He? Why? Because He found no grace in him.
What else can we learn from the thief on the cross that Jesus saved? We learn that however short we may live, our lives must reveal, show, or represent grace so that when He sees us He will find grace in us! Remember the story about Noah in Genesis 6:7-8? “So the LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.” When God saw Noah, He found grace in Noah, and Noah and his family were saved, just like the thief on the cross. When Jesus heard what the repentant thief had said, He found grace in the thief and saved him even though he came last. The other thief who hurled abuses at Jesus was not saved because Jesus found no grace in him. Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord, the repentant thief found grace in the eyes of Jesus, but Jesus saw nothing in the unrepentant thief! Why? Because grace must be earned! Jesus wants people worthy of His grace to live with Him! Doesn't that make sense? It makes a lot of good sense Bro!
In Matthew 22:14 Jesus said, “For many are called, but few are chosen.” What does it mean? It means that even though we have been immersed underwater or baptized in church last week, we are not saved yet until “he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” (Matthew 24:13) Look at Judas Iscariot. He did not endure till the end. What does the end mean? It means that we endure until we die, or until Jesus returns! These are not my prophecies. These are Jesus’ words, the OWNER of the Kingdom of God. I believe in what Jesus said, and not in what Paul said, or what Peter or John said. Why? Because they don’t hold the key to the Kingdom of God. Jesus or the Father holds the key to heaven. We must listen and believe what Jesus said because He is the owner of Heaven.
If your church Pastor says otherwise, I assure you that he or she is not interested in your soul! They want to tickle your ears so that they can keep you committed to their church. If the sermons that you hear in the church do not change your conscience for the better, I assure you that you are in the wrong church. “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Matthews 5:48),
Be careful what you hear and what you believe when you go to church. People in the church are not always anxious to save your soul. They are usually most interested in what you can give to the church. That’s the only way that they can survive, and that is by using you to preserve their lives.
We will know, and everyone around us will know that if the church has changed our conscience, or if God has changed our conscience, or if the Holy Spirit has changed our conscience, then we are proof of a born-again Christian.
Our conscience should be like little children. That's the church that we want to be in.
There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him. "Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (John 3:1-6). We are already born of the flesh and we cannot change that and return to our mother's womb. Jesus implied that baptism by water alone will not save us. We must be born again of the Spirit. How can we tell if an individual is born again of the Spirit? I believe that the Holy Spirit works through our conscience. And people of good conscience will do what God wants them to do. They are totally obedient to God. They fear God! That’s how we can tell if a person is born again of the Holy Spirit - he surrenders himself to God and follows God's commandments until he dies!
Jesus loves children with good conscience. Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. (Luke 18:16)
The kingdom of God is reserved for people with GOOD CONSCIENCE!
Finally, we are saved not because we believe that we are saved. We can believe in anything that we want until our face turns blue. We will be saved if we can endure till the end. Matthew 24:13. We are saved because Jesus found grace in us. Is our life worthy of His grace?
