DISOBEDIENT CHRISTIANS

My Father in heaven said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'" Matthew 7:21-23.

I have quoted these texts many times in my postings, and you have surely read or heard about these texts when you read the Bible or sit in church. But do we understand what Jesus is trying to tell us in Matthew 7:21-23?

I woke up this morning and a voice is asking me this same question, “Do I understand what Jesus is trying to tell me in Matthew 7:21-23”.

“Many will say to Me in that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'”

I asked myself, is there anything wrong with saying `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' No, I see nothing wrong with saying out loud `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I look at verse 23 where Jesus said, “And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'”

Brothers and Sisters. Do we understand what God’s Holy Spirit is telling us in Matthew 7:21-23? It tells us that if we practice lawlessness, if we do not follow the Law, if we do not do what He tells us to do we will be placed in a HOT oven when He returns. Do you know why? Because the power to say out loud `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name' can also come from Satan, God’s greatest enemy.

I have finally found the answer in Christian people who can loudly say ‘Lord, Lord’ but do not do the will of God the Father. I have found the answer in Christians who can prophesy in His name, cast out demons in His name, and do many wonders in His name but do not do the will of God. They are not doing the will of God the Father. They are doing their own will.

Who are these Christians? They are Christians who do not keep His commandments. They are Christians who practice lawlessness.

They are context Christians. They do not live in accordance with God's Law.

Jesus said in John 14:15, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

Jesus said in Matthew 10:27, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” For a more in-depth study of the various kinds of Christians in the world, please read my article on Context Christians.
