LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE
Jesus said, "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all [who are] in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:13-16.
Paul, on the other hand, contradicts Jesus and said, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9. Paul said put your light under a basket. Don't glorify God with our good works.
But in James 2:17 we read, "Thus also faith by itself if it does not have works, is dead." And so, who determines the work that we must do? Preachers, pastors, Biblical Scholars, Martin Luther, we, or who determines the work that we must do? YHWH or Jesus Christ determines the work that we must do, and no one else! Whom do we believe, Paul or James and Jesus? Both of them cannot be right. I believe that if we want to live in heaven with Jesus we must allow Jesus to determine the work that we must do, not the Bible hackers, Jesus' salesmen, or us! We must follow Him. Why? Because no pastor, preacher, priest, master, president, king, queen, or even Lucifer can save us from the eternal fire that God has in store for those who are disobedient to Him. Jesus told the lawyer in Luke 10:25-37 that he has to work to get eternal life. Paul says that we don't have to work to get eternal life, just have "faith". If "faith" is all that is required to get eternal life, demons can go to heaven too. Why did the majority of Christians abolished all of God's commandments? Why? Because they think they can go to heaven with faith only. Readers, do you know why Jesus sent those men/women of great faith described in Matthew 7:21-23 straight to hell? Because all that they could show to Jesus is faith only, and no lawful work that Jesus could accept. All of the people who drowned and died during the big flood during Noah's time could not show their good works to God. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord because he worked for God faithfully, and tirelessly.
Jesus ordered us to let our light shine! He wants us to be a witness for Him. He wants us to tell everyone that we are saved by the good work that we do for Him so that we can glorify His Father’s name in heaven. He wants us to be obedient to Him. I have no problem with that. For example, I have been a victim of attacks by hackers for decades. These hackers came from all over the world, Russia, Ukraine, China, the United States, Poland, Bulgaria, and other countries near and far, and even as far as Indonesia. At the time I was making and selling Tempeh. Later I wrote a book exposing them, the hackers. I then began to realize that I have to do more for the Lord and less for the hackers. That is when I started my own website, The Truth, and https://thexcommandments.blogspot.com.
Now I have both Pagan and Christian hackers attacking me from all over the world. But I persist in the good work that God wants me to do for Him. Finally, the Spirit led me to the discovery of a switch system where I can turn off my router at night instead of leaving it on 24/7/365. So far I have little or no problem with the internet interruptions that I usually experience when my router is on 24/7/365. I also subscribe to a VPN from McAfee. I quit my Wi-Fi, and replaced it with Ethernet.
God had evicted millions or billions of angels from heaven to our planet. They are now living in our neighborhood. We don’t know who they are, and even if we see them we would not recognize them. They could be anybody. Always pray that He would send His angels to watch over us all the time. Let God deal with the Pagan and Christian hackers.
Witnessing for God is NOT boasting. That was His order, that we should let our light shine all over the world, and not hide it under a basket. This is not the last time that you will hear from me about how happy I am with my computer. It will help me in finishing my work for Him. I use my computer to witness for God.
In Luke 10:25-37 a lawyer asked Jesus, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" He said to him, "What is written in the law? What is your reading [of it]?" So he answered and said, "`You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and `your neighbor as yourself.'"
If the lawyer had asked us, Mr. Christian, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? What shall we say, ask our mother? Ask our preacher? Or ask our Bible teacher? That would not be very smart, would it? Why? Because our mother, if she is one of those Christians like your Bible teacher or your preacher, knows nothing about the law. They put God’s laws in the septic tank under their home. The only law they know is the law of "grace", e.g. living in sin under "grace." Jesus said to him, "What is written in the law? What is your reading [of it]?" Do you know why Jesus asked him what is written in the law? He could have asked him have you asked your mother, or your father, or your preacher, or your Bible teacher? No, He did not do that! Instead, He asked him what does the law say?
Do you know why? Because Jesus put the law above everything else. None is above the law, not Adam and Eve, not Lucifer and millions of his angels, none, period! His laws are sacred! And He is holy. But what did we do with Him and His laws? We gave God lip service and flushed His commandments in the toilet. Have we no fear of Him? Have we no fear of the Lord?
The lawyer then said, "`You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and `your neighbor as yourself.'" Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise." Jesus told the lawyer to WORK and do what the law says if He wants to earn eternal life! He tells you and me also to WORK if we want eternal life.

There are two parts to the law. "`You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and `your neighbor as yourself.'"
Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep all My commandments.” John 14:15. Keeping all His commandments is proof that we love Him.
Do we keep His commandments? No, we do not because we do not love Him. We do not believe Him. We love Him only with our lips, and nothing more. That’s the first part of the law.
The second part of the law says that we should love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Love involves work, whether we love our God or whether we love our neighbor. How on earth can we love God and love our neighbor when we don’t believe in work that can save us? We believe only in "grace" that can save us. Was that what Jesus said to the lawyer when he asked Jesus what he should do to inherit eternal life? What motivates us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves when we don’t believe in sacrifice and work? Don’t we know that love is work?
We know that grace is not our part or our job. Grace comes from God. Our part is work. So, how can we let our light shine when we do nothing?
So we let the poor, the needy, and the sick wait for God’s grace to give them any help. We won’t go out and offer any help because the work that we do to help them cannot save us? We believe that we are saved by "grace". And so we give God the job to take care of them, and not us?
"Grace" will not feed the hungry. Grace will not provide homes for the homeless. But good work can provide food, clothing, and homes for the poor and homeless.
Paul says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9. But the apostles James said that faith without work is dead. James 2:14-26.
Paul’s teaching is contradictory to common sense and Jesus’ teachings.
Jesus said, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." John 10:27.
If we refuse to hear His voice and refuse to follow Him, whose sheep are we? How can we let our light shine if we refuse to do His will? Who is our Shepherd? Who are we glorifying?
Let us practice daily in doing good works so it becomes second nature to us. Ask the Lord to help us so we can become experts in doing good work. Our single mission in life is to glorify His name!
"In My Father's house are many mansions; if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, [there] you may be also.” John 14:2-3.
Let nothing distract us from living with Jesus - a man, a woman, or wealth. Satan is using a man, a woman, or money to deceive even the very elect.
