SABBATH
"And pray that your flight may not be in the winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.” Matthew 24:20-22. Jesus said that we should pray that our flight will not occur on a Sabbath when the Great Tribulation time arrives. Why? Because the Sabbath must still be observed as a holy day thousands of years later after Jesus was crucified. This should tell us that whoever teaches that the ten commandments is abolished after Jesus was crucified will heavily pay the price for teaching lies and deceiving people. The Sabbath commandment to keep it holy was never abolished by God. It is still valid until Jesus returns, and beyond.
Readers, why do you think Jesus told us to pray that our flight will not occur during the winter or on the Sabbath when the Great Tribulation time comes? Is it because the Sabbath is a holy day that we all must observe, Jews and Gentiles, or because the Sabbath points to Jesus' death on the cross? And after Jesus died on the cross the Sabbath is no longer observed? If you say that the “Sabbath” points to Jesus’ death, don't we know that Jesus was already dead (crucified) a long time ago, April 3, AD 33. And Protestant Christians in America have promptly abolished all His commandments for a very long time also. But the Great Tribulation time will come in the future that we don't know when. And Jesus said, when He was still alive on earth a long time ago, “And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath,” during the Tribulation time that is not here yet. And so Bro, stop confusing people by inferring that the Sabbath mentioned in Matthew 24:20-22 refers to the Sabbath before April 3, AD 33. The Sabbath mentioned in Matthew 24:20-22 refers to the Sabbath in the future that has not arrived yet, and not to past Sabbaths, because the Great Tribulation time mentioned in Matthew 24:20-22 has not come yet. Jesus asked us to pray to God that the future Great Tribulation days do not come on the Sabbaths so Christians can observe the Sabbath and keep it Holy. In fact, I believe that the Sabbath will still be observed in Heaven. You don’t have to believe me because salvation is not for everyone, Bro.

"Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day [is] the Sabbath of the LORD your God. [In it] you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who [is] within your gates. For [in] six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that [is] in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it." Exodus 20:9-11.
"Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made." Genesis 2:3.
The Bible says that God blessed and sanctified the seventh day (the Sabbath). God blessed the Seventh-day (Sabbath) and set it apart from all the other days of the week as a holy day. Would I argue with God about the Sabbath day? NO! Why would I? Why should I? Common sense tells me that I should not argue, debate, or ask my Pastor or the Bible teachers to help me find ways to circumvent God’s laws or commandments if I want to live with Him and get His blessings. He gave His laws or commandments to us, for us to observe so we can receive His blessings, and not for us to disregard or ignore without taking it seriously! We agree that our Father in Heaven knows best what is good for us, right? So, why should we argue with Him and say, no, I want to keep Sunday or Tuesday or Friday holy? Jesus Himself observed the Sabbath. God declares the Sabbath a holy day.
If we don’t like His Sabbath, no problem. Go and find another religion, or invent our new exciting religion, but please don’t mess up with Jesus’ Sabbath! The only exception to the Sabbath law is when we do good that is absolutely necessary on the Sabbath, such as when we help someone who is seriously ill or needs immediate help. Other than that, do nothing in violation of God's Sabbath! Sabbath keepers don’t even go out to buy their hamburgers for lunch or dinner on the Sabbath. They don’t even cook on the Sabbath if they can avoid it. We do our work on the weekdays, and Friday is a special preparation day where we make preparations for the holy Sabbath. Why? Because He said so. If we want to live with Him, we do what He tells us to do. We don't argue or bargain with Him. We must always allow Him to govern our lives if we want to live with Him. If we want to live with Lucifer, we can do anything that we want to do because he is not under the law. God never forces us to live with Him, never!

God made the Sabbath holy, blessed it, and made it sacred! Do I ask my Preacher or my Bible teachers to help me find ways to circumvent His orders? NO, NO, AND AGAIN NO! That would be stupid if I do so.
Some of us may argue that every day is the same. They say that every day is the same, but in God’s eyes, every day is not the same! God blessed the seventh day; He wants us to keep the Sabbath holy, and not Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Do we understand the difference? No, because we have hardened our hearts like King Pharaoh of ancient Egypt. God has blinded our eyes so that we can no longer see, understand, and repent! We see God's words as hyperbole or spam. Every day may be the same in our eyes, but not in the eyes of God! The Bible says that it is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In fact, I believe we are to observe the Sabbath until the end of time and beyond. So, what choice do we have if we want to live with Him? He is the sole owner of the Kingdom of God, not Paul, Peter, John, James, or any of the other disciples or apostles. Do we understand the importance of this fact that I have presented?
In Matthew 24:20 Jesus said, “But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath." Why did Jesus tell us to avoid our flight in the winter, or on a Sabbath? Because the Sabbath is a holy day. And whom are we running away from during the flight? We are running away from the people who hate the Sabbath. We will be hated by the Sabbath haters. And we will be persecuted by enemies of the Sabbath.
Matthew 24:20 is a prophecy that tells us of what will occur at the end of time - The Great Tribulation. And what will occur at the end of time is not pleasant. Jesus wants us to know in advance before it occurs. The devil knows that he has no more time left. It's finished! His pawnshop, this old world, is bankrupt. Jesus showed us how to get out from this corrupt and evil world . So, what can Satan do? What is his plan? I believe Lucifer's final plan is to hunt and destroy God's chosen people to prevent them from entering the small gate and narrow road that takes them straight to the Kingdom of God. And his victims are the Sabbath law-keepers. Jesus asked the Sabbath-keepers to pray that their flight will not occur during their Holy Sabbath, or during the freezing winter to avoid the extreme hardship that they have never seen before, or will ever see again. This period is mentioned in the Bible as the Great Tribulation.
Who are the people who will be pursuing the Sabbath-keepers? I believe they are the ones whose hearts are filled with jealousy and hatred because they cannot find the narrow road with the small gate that leads to the Kingdom of God. They who have hardened their hearts and closed their eyes. John 12:40 says, "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn--and I would heal them." And when they found out about their errors, it is already too late. Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23.

These people don't know God. They don't know the God of Jacob, the God of Noah, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Daniel, and the God of all the Prophets. The only god that they know is the god whom they have invented and created for themselves! And that god is slowly strangling them to death!
Lord, please take care of your people during the Great Tribulation Time. We will always love you!
