DOES GOD LOVE SINNERS?
When I turn on the TV or radio on the weekend, Saturday, or Sunday, I heard preachers and ministers say, “Jesus loves you, brother. Jesus loves you”.
I wonder which Jesus they were talking about?
Jesus Himself said that the world hates Him, and why do the preachers and ministers say on TV and radio that Jesus loves the world when the world hates Jesus? I suspect it has something to do with tithes and offerings. It makes good sense.
You know the story about the big flood during Noah's time, right? Millions or billions of souls perished, except for a handful of people. Why do you think God destroyed them? God destroyed them because God saw nothing good in them. If God saw any value in them, God would not have destroyed them, but would spare them. It is obvious that the people whom God had destroyed during the big flood had not produced the good works that God could or would accept. They had bad intentions 24/7/365, the Bible says.
When Jesus returns for the second time, billions more of souls will go to hell for the same reason - no good works.
The work that we do, or not do while we are on earth will determine our destination - heaven or hell.
Heaven is far away from earth, very far away. God or Jesus is very far away from us. How do we communicate with Jesus? How do we connect with Jesus? The only way that I know is through faith. We have no other way to communicate with Jesus other than through faith and prayer. Why do we need faith in Jesus? Why do we need faith in God? We need faith in Jesus, or faith in God the Father for what? Is it because Paul says so? No, it is because God or Jesus says so.
I believe that faith is the primary "language" that we use to communicate with God, and other spiritual beings. Faith is a means to an end.
So the Lord said, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to
this mulberry tree, `Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the
sea,' and it would obey you." Luke 17:6
We need faith in Jesus or in God so that we can claim His promises to us. Why did Abraham sacrifice his son Isaac? Because He believes that sacrificing His son is what God wants him do. Being obedient to God is more important to Abraham than anything else in his life. Why did Abraham did what God had told him to do? Because that is what God wants him and us do - absolute obedience. Obedience is the fruit of faith.
Do my readers understand why faith that leads to obedience is necessary for our salvation? Faith that leads to obedience is necessary so that we will do the work that God wants us do for Him.
Work doing what, I hear someone asks?
The work that we must do are listed in God's commandments in the Bible. The descriptions or details of the work are listed in the Bible - the Old and the New Testaments.
Who ordered the work? God the Father, God the Son, and the Prophets. They ordered the work that we must do.
WHY do we need faith in God when we do not do what God tells us to do? Why do we need faith in Jesus when we do not want to do what Jesus wants us do? Do we keep the Sabbath holy? No, we are surfing on the beach. Do we keep His commandments that Jesus had asked us to keep? No, we don't believe in His commandments because they have expired when He was nailed on the cross, we say. So, why do we say that we have faith in God and in Jesus when we do not do what God or Jesus wanted us to do?
Are we not the hypocrites that Jesus often mentioned in the Bible?
"Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me in that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'" Matthew 7:21-23.
