YOUR WILL BE DONE

"In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Matthew 6:9-13.

Jesus' disciples asked Jesus how to pray. And Jesus told them this is how to pray.

Do we pray like He told us to pray? No, we do not. Then why do we ask Him how to pray and not pray the way He taught us to pray? Why? I think most ministers and preachers think that they know more than Jesus about prayer.

Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John 14:15

Do we keep His commandments? No, we do not. Why do we not keep His commandments? Because preachers and ministers think that they know more than Jesus about His commandments. When Jesus died on the cross His commandments died with Him, so they say. They all expired! Did Jesus say that when He died on the cross that all of His commandments expired? No, He did not. He did not have to say that. Preachers and ministers claim that they know the meaning of the word “It’s finished” that Jesus said before He died on the cross. It means that the law has been fulfilled. They jump up and down selling Jesus at a discount.

They claimed that they had to study for years in Universities to get their Masters's and Ph.D. degrees in Biblical studies to qualify them to interpret every word that comes out of Jesus’ mouth. Jesus had no degree in anything!

Brothers and Sisters. Do we know why He taught us in the prayer to say, “Your will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven?” Do you want to know why? Because He wants us to know that His will is superior to our will. Did we say that in our prayer? No, we do not, because we believe that our will is superior to Jesus' will. We pray to Jesus to give us our will!

Look, preachers and ministers have declared that Jesus’ laws and commandments are no longer valid after Jesus died on the cross. After they made that declaration, the whole world follows them, and they all ignored God’s commandments. They ignored and abandoned God’s will.

"Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23.
