HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY JESUS HASN'T RETURNED YET?
I have the answer for you, readers. And the answer is also in the Bible. But it is not, however, what you think it is. Nobody knows unless we seek or ask Jesus to give us the mystery that surrounds His second coming. Jesus said, "Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:24. I thought that this is the reason why Jesus has not returned yet, as promised. We have not actively looked for the answer. Millions of ordinary Christians believe that the answer is here. “The Lord is not slack concerning [His] promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9. Unfortunately, all cannot come to repentance. Why? Because we know that salvation is not for everyone! Why? Jesus said, “But why do you call Me `Lord, Lord,’ and do not do the things which I say?” Luke 6:46. This is the primary reason why I say that salvation is not for everyone. We think that we are smarter than Jesus. Luke 6:46 implies that salvation has to be earned; by doing His will, and not by doing our will. Jesus said that, not I. If you don’t believe what Jesus said no problem! The truth, His truth, does not depend on whether we believe Him or not. If God doesn’t give us the gift to understand the truth, we will never understand the truth. We all can read and understand what Jesus said, can we not? Why play dumb with Jesus, why? We are adults. We are not kids. Why play dumb with Jesus, why? Even little children don’t play dumb with their parents. Look here. The disciples of Jesus ask Jesus, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what [will be] the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" Matthew 24:3. Jesus answered, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14. Jesus said that the end of time will come when the gospel of the kingdom has been preached in all the world, and then Jesus will return to gather His sheep from all over the world in one big flock, to welcome and take them to the kingdom of heaven, accompanied by millions of His majestic angels. In other words, our job as followers of Christ while on earth is to spread to gospel of Jesus Christ to the world, the teachings of Jesus described in the first four books of the New Testament. But what did the Newborn Christians do with the teachings of Jesus Christ? They abolished all of the commandments of Jesus and replaced them with living in sin under grace, the teachings of the apostle Paul. By so doing they have delayed His coming. If you read the teachings of Jesus in the first four books of the New Testament you will not find a word where Jesus says we can live in sin under grace. This is what Jesus said, "If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast [it] from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perishes, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And, if your right hand, causes you to sin, cut it off and cast [it] from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.” Matthew 5:29-30. But Paul says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9. Paul says that all we need to be saved is just faith, and nothing else. The Apostle James says that faith without work is dead. James 2:14-26. Jesus Christ Himself confirmed that faith without the work that He wants us to do is death. "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23. Jesus said that He will return when the gospel of the kingdom has been preached in all the world. Right now the majority of Christians are spreading the teachings of Paul, aka Saul. We desperately need workers to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to hasten His coming.
