WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Readers, today I want to share with you why I believe that it is important that we forgive people who have offended us. Jesus said that if we forgive people who have offended us, He will forgive us. When we forgive others, Jesus will forgive our sins. And that is important for us to know and remember. Why? Because the Bible says that the devil is our accuser. “Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.” Revelation 12:10. When God has forgiven our sins, either through repentance or forgiving others, we can avoid passing generational curses to our descendants. Only God can cancel the generational curse that is passed from one generation to another, to us from our lawlessness practicing parents, and to our children, and their children, and their children's children.
Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23.
Many who have not experienced generational curses do not know what a curse is that we, children, have inherited from our parents who do not fear God. God said, “You shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth [generations] of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.” Exodus 20:5-6. I saw little children who were born blind, missing a limb or two, what sin have they committed? Even today we still see children born with serious physical or mental disabilities regardless of the “New Covenant” that Christians have been talking about. The threat of the generational curse is far from over. Private homes taking care of children with physical and mental disabilities are growing like mushrooms in every state. Only God can cancel the generational curse that children inherit from their parents. And I foresee that things will get worse. I believe that the church has a lot to do with the worsening of the generational curse problems. Why? Because we, the Christian church, have joined the world to continue to insult and humiliate Jesus, after He had suffered a painful and humiliating death on the cross, by trashing His holy words. The church encourages people to live in sin. Pastors and preachers must have the courage to address these problems seriously. They should encourage church members to follow the law. Instead, they teach their members to abandon the laws. God said that He will show mercy to those who love Him and keep His commandments. The causes of generational curse will not go away if we ignore them.
