THE GOSPEL TRUTH
Good morning readers. I hope you are all doing well this morning, physically and spiritually. Jesus said, "But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” Matthew 24:13. Do you know why He said this? Because Satan and his human agents will try to mess us up till the end of time. In other words, we would not know if we are saved or not, for sure, until Jesus returns. This, my friend, is the gospel truth! Why is this the gospel truth? Because Jesus said so. "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23. These men/women of great faith found out that they were rejected when Jesus returned for the second time, the Judgment time. Again, this is the gospel truth. What is not the gospel truth is this. Millions of Christians believe that Jesus died to pay for their sins. Jesus did not want to die for us to pay for our sins. He was forced to die. He was beaten and forced to walk to Golgotha to carry a heavy cross. And we say that He had died to pay for our sins? That is totally ridiculous and insane! He was forced to die! He died unwillingly. If Jesus had died to pay for our sin, then who is hell for? Jesus said, "If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast [it] from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast [it] from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.” Matthew 5:29-30. This is clear evidence that Jesus doesn’t want to die, lose an arm, or an eyeball for us. He wants us to suffer pain and agony for our sins. Can't we understand the hint that He frequently gave us - “wailing and gnashing of teeth”? Do we understand what “wailing and gnashing of teeth” means? Or, have we forgotten this story from the Bible, "Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every intent of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually. And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD." Genesis 6:3-8. God killed all of them, including the animals. God did not want to pay any part of their sins. And Jesus did not want to pay for our sins either! And that, brothers and sisters, is the gospel truth! Why is this the gospel truth? Because Jesus said so.
