THE FEAR OF ABRAHAM

My Sabbath ends in about an hour or so, and the new week starts again. I could hardly believe that the week went by so fast. Jesus is coming soon. Are we ready to greet Him? Are we ready to meet Him? People have waited for His return for a long time, for thousands of years. Some people thought that His return would be delayed. Some skeptics believe that Jesus' return is a scam. No, Brothers and Sisters, Jesus keeps His promises. He is faithful to His  words. “ But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day [is] as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning [His] promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:8-9. He wants us to repent. He wants us to be perfect as His Father in Heaven is perfect. "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:48. Jesus is perfect. Heaven...

FEAR GOD

Today I want to talk with my readers about the prophet Abraham. He was considered the man of faith. I don’t know very much about him. What I remembered reading about him was that he approved the eviction of Hagar from their home. He was also the man who took Hagar to live with him as his wife, besides Sarah. I think the reason why Hagar was evicted from her home was because of the constant bickering between Sarah and Hagar that gives Abraham a headache.   Abraham was considered a man of faith by some believers because he was willing to sacrifice his son Isaac. I consider Abraham a man of obedience, or a man of work or compliance, and not a man of faith. Why? Because if he refuses to offer his son as an offering to God, he is not considered a man of faith, nor a man of work/obedience. We assumed that what he did was because of his faith, but we don’t know for sure. But we do know that he had to work very hard to take his son to the altar to be sacrificed. “Then they came to the plac...

I AM NOT

Some of my readers are wondering what am I doing to support my ministry? Am I a bivocational preacher? No, I am not. My father started spreading the gospel from his home when he was alive. My father was a very successful businessman running his own business from home. He became a Christian after he and my mother met a couple of Christian missionaries from Holland decades ago. Soon, he became motivated to start his gospel spreading work using his own money. His soul-winning work started at home with his few employees working in our house. In addition, he spread his missionary work to vendors who come to his home to sell chickens and fruits and vegetables. He bought all the chicken and vegetables from the vendors who carried their chickens and vegetables on a shoulder pole so they could come in the evening to listen to my father’s testimony about Jesus. I got my calling while I was in a casino playing slot-machines. I had this bad habit of playing slot machines for years after I cam...

LOGIC

According to Webster’s dictionary, logic is defined as “a science that deals with the principles and criteria of validity of inference and demonstration: the science of the formal principles of reasoning”.  In 1 Kings 3:9, we read that King Solomon asked God for wisdom, "Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge these great people of Yours?" God heard his request and gave Solomon the logic and the wisdom that he asked for so that he could differentiate between good and evil in reigning over his people. Logic is a gift from God. Wisdom is also a gift from God. Not everyone is born with the same quantity and the same quality of logic and wisdom. Some have plenty of logic, some have adequate logic, and others have little or no logic. Similarly, God gave us His gift of talents, one or more different kinds of talents. Some people make good use of their talents, some do not use them...

WHOM DO YOU BELIEVE?

Good morning readers. I hope I find you all in great faith this morning! Why did I say that? Because today we want to find out how much faith we have in Jesus by answering some questions. If you can answer YES to all my questions that I am going to give to you, then that is your proof that you have faith both in Jesus and in Paul. Here are Jesus’ words. 1. Jesus said, "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” John 10:9. Do you believe what Jesus said? 2. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6. Do you believe what Jesus said? 3. Jesus said, "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:48. Do you believe that we should be perfect? Do you believe that we can be perfect? 4. A Torah lawyer asked Jesus, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" He said to him, "What is written in the l...

ADAM AND EVE RESTORED

Jesus said, "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:48. Why does God want us to be perfect? Because the standard of heaven is perfection. Can we be perfect? Yes, I believe we can. If we cannot, why would He order us and say that we shall be perfect? Why? I posted a similar article on Facebook recently. The admin of the group, an apostle, deleted my post after he read one or two lines of my article. He probably thought that I was crazy for saying that we can be perfect. But he failed to understand that just because he could not be perfect doesn’t mean that others cannot also. God asked us to be perfect in the same way that He expected Adam and Eve to be perfect. Do y ou know what that is? Obedience to Him as law-abiding citizens . Adam and Eve were perfect before Satan deceived them, were they not? They were innocent in their thinking, were they not? All that God expected from them was to fill and rule the earth, be law-abiding citize...

PICK YOUR DOOR

Jesus said to Thomas, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6. Readers, do you understand what Jesus said? Jesus said that no one can go to heaven except through Him. Jesus said to us,   "I am the door . If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” John 10:9. Brethren, are you searching for salvation? Are you looking for eternal life? Search no more. Don’t look for Paul. Don’t look for Peter. Don’t look for anyone else, but look for Jesus because He is the Door to salvation. "I am the door . If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” John 10:9. Satan offers us many dummy doors that look like real doors. But Jesus offers us only one genuine door to salvation, and that door is Jesus Himself. Could you tell which is the dummy door and which is the genuine door? Jesus said, "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide [is] the gate and broad...
