ADAM AND EVE RESTORED
Jesus said, "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:48. Why does God want us to be perfect? Because the standard of heaven is perfection.
Can we be perfect? Yes, I believe we can. If we cannot, why would He order us and say that we shall be perfect? Why? I posted a similar article on Facebook recently. The admin of the group, an apostle, deleted my post after he read one or two lines of my article. He probably thought that I was crazy for saying that we can be perfect. But he failed to understand that just because he could not be perfect doesn’t mean that others cannot also.
God asked us to be perfect in the same way that He expected Adam and Eve to be perfect. Do you know what that is? Obedience to Him as law-abiding citizens. Adam and Eve were perfect before Satan deceived them, were they not? They were innocent in their thinking, were they not? All that God expected from them was to fill and rule the earth, be law-abiding citizens, and be obedient to God. So, when God says to us to be perfect, He wants us to be law-abiding citizens who are obedient to Him, love Him, and love our neighbors as we love ourselves. If Adam and Eve were law-abiding citizens who were obedient to Him, and who love Him, we would not be living in this world with Satan, would we? And Jesus, our Lord, would not have to suffer humiliation and painful death on the cross. Jesus did not ask Adam and Eve to be a magician and perform magic, or perform an impossible task. He told Adam and Eve of a simple task. He said to Adam, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." Genesis 2:16-17. But they refused to obey.
Adam and Eve were perfect until they ate the forbidden fruit. Adam and Eve were perfect until they disobeyed God. What does this short paragraph tell us? It tells us that as soon as they disobey God, they become imperfect! If they did not disobey God they were still perfect. When we disobey God, we cannot be perfect. We will remain imperfect. Obedience to God is the key to perfection.
And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" He said to him, "What is written in the law? What is your reading [of it]?" So he answered and said, "`You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and `your neighbor as yourself.'" And He said to him, "You have answered rightly; do this and you will live." Luke 10:25-28.
"On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." Matthew 22:40.

Brothers and Sisters, I believe that if we do Luke 10:25-28, we can become perfect. Am I sure? Yes I am sure! I am damn sure! How, why? Jesus gave Luke 10:25-28 to a lawyer (Torah Scholar) who asked, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" And Jesus gave him the answer how he could inherit eternal life. He gave His answer what the Torah scholar must do if he wants go to heaven. And we know that no one who is less than perfect can be accepted in heaven. And so, if we who follow Luke 10:25-28 can enter heaven, and gain eternal life, that means that God sees us as perfect beings when we do Luke 10:25-28.
Jesus said, "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” John 10:9. "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6.
Here’s the insight that I am sharing with my readers of how we can become perfect. "`You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and `your neighbor as yourself.'" If we do Luke 10:25-28 we will become perfect. Jesus told the lawyer "You have answered rightly; do this and you will live." Luke 10:28. Eternal life is reserved for perfect people. Jesus told the lawyer that if he does Luke 10:25-28 he will inherit eternal life. And we know that only perfect people will go to heaven. That's why Jesus said, "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Be perfect just as Jesus is perfect.

Thank you Jesus for giving me this valuable insight. I will always be grateful to you. I will always love you!
