The Torah law is contained in the first five books of the Bible Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Yes, Jesus fulfilled the Torah law, known also as the Moses law when He was on earth. Does the Torah law also apply to Christians under the New Covenant?   In Matthew 5:48 Jesus said, "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Perfection, therefore, is not a choice. It is a mandatory requirement. Can we be perfect? Yes, we can. And why does Jesus want us to be perfect? The reason why Jesus wants us to be perfect is because the standard of heaven is perfection . How can we be perfect? What do we have to do to be perfect? I believe that the only way that we can be perfect is by keeping His Law. The only way that we can be perfect is by doing His law.
