WORK OR INTENTION?
Readers, I want to ask you a very important question. When Jesus returns, will He judge us based on our work and action, or based on our intention? Why is this important? Because intention precedes work. Paul says in Romans that God will judge us based on our work. The Bible, however, says that God judges us based on our intention, not on our work or action. God judges Lucifer based on his intention, and not based on his work. God drowned and killed billions of people during Noah’s time because of their evil intentions. “Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every intent of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually. And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them." Genesis 6:5-7 Why is intention crucially important? Because intention precedes actions. If we can stop doing anything bad or wrong at the planning or intention level, we will not commit a sin or a harm to anyone.
How can we have nothing but good intentions? My answer is in the Bible. Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8. Keep on seeking, asking, and knocking until we get what we want. That was God's promise to those who ask, seek, and knock for good intention. God bless.
