A LIFE OF SERVICE

"And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave", just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." (Matthew 20:27,28). Jesus could not have said any better about His life, and that life was to serve as ransom or sacrifice for the many. His life was a life of SERVICE for the many, and NOT His death. That’s all that His LIFE was about, to serve others. Not everyone will benefit from the ransom or SACRIFICE that He gave us through His lifetime of SERVICE. Many will benefit, but not all.

Brothers and Sisters, Jesus could have died two or three more times, but unless His short LIFE had served many of us so well the way He did while He was alive on earth, His death would be of no value to us! We should appreciate and celebrate His LIFE, instead of His death!

His LIFE was the ransom or sacrifice that He gave for us, and not His death! A dead body is never a good ransom for anyone. We should not be making money from His death, never! We should not make people feel guilty because of His death. It is wrong for us to hijack His death for the purpose of enriching ourselves.

And so, have we given our LIFE as a ransom for the many, or are we still hijacking His death as a means to enrich ourselves? Are we truly serving others, or are we serving ourselves?

We should offer ourselves as a living sacrifice or ransom for the many because that’s what all true Christians are called to do - to serve others.

Did Jesus die to redeem our sins? I am not sure. We know that Jesus was crucified thousands of years ago. The majority of us were not born yet. And Jesus Himself said that we should redeem our own sin. And here are the steps -

THE 1, 2, 3 OF SELF-REDEMPTION OF SINS

1. "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, "leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First, be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.” (Matthew 5:23-24)

2. "I, [even] I, [am] He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins.” (Isaiah 43:25)

3. "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy [against] the Spirit will not be forgiven men." Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the [age] to come.” (Matthew 12:31-32)

More than 2,000 years ago the Holy Spirit spoke to us through Jesus instructing us to self-redeem our sins (Matthew 5:23-24). But no one listened. No one paid any attention. And no one cared! Instead, they gathered teachers (“Biblical scholars”) around them to tell them falsehoods that tickle their ears that led them to believe that salvation or grace is easy to get, like cooking the recipe of making a bowl of one-minute oatmeal. It’s called - GRACE.

Brothers and Sisters, GRACE is NOT easy to get. It never is and it never was. Look at Noah and his family, only a handful of souls were saved, and millions of others perished in mud water with NO grace! We have to earn God’s grace. Repeat, we have to EARN God's grace, regardless of what anyone says. We have to fear the Lord as the Bible says. We have to love Him and not make Him angry at us. We have to give Him the utmost respect and not treat Him with disrespect like many of today's children do to their parents, never! We must honor His words! We must fear Him because He is the King of all Kings.

We must please Him, and worship Him, and honor Him! Remember, He is not our high school chum. We don't mess with Him! Look what He did to the millions of people who disrespected Him. He drowned them all in the big flood during Noah's time. Do you know how it feels like when you are drowned in mud water? Can you imagine?

Do the following warnings from Jesus below sound much like “GRACE” to you?

"If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast [it] from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish than for your whole body to be cast into hell.” (Matthew 5:29); "And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast [it] from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish than for your whole body to be cast into hell.” (Matthew 5:30).

Jesus said that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to little children. That means that when I was born I had no sin. When you were born you had no sin either. So, why did the Preachers tell us that Jesus died for our sins? If we reconcile with the people whom we have offended, and repent. If we reconcile with God and ask Him to forgive us of our sins, and repent, do we still have outstanding debts or sins that have not been forgiven? Is that not what the Lord's prayer has taught us to say, ask God to forgive our sins as we have forgiven those who sinned

against us?

I think Jesus died for the sins of those Christians who commercialize Jesus' death to make money by making us feel guilty.

Jesus said that we have to redeem our own sins (Matthew 5:23-24) "Be reconciled to your brother," Jesus said. And that is final!

I began to accumulate my sins when I go to church. I went to church to ask forgiveness for my sins because the Preacher told me that Jesus died for my sin. That made me feel really guilty. I could not understand why Jesus had to die for my sins? He said in Matthew 5:23,24 that He wants us to redeem our own sins, or He doesn't want to hear our prayers if we don't do what He wants us to do - "Be reconciled with our brother."

Thank God. Now I feel no more guilt because I know that Jesus said I have to redeem my own sins. He wants me to redeem my own sin (Matthew 5:23-24). That's fine with me.

Have you redeemed your own sins? Have we come to the people whom we have offended and ask them to forgive us?

That's what He wants us to do. And so, I want to use this opportunity today to ask all the Preachers to forgive me for exposing their lies. They may not even know that they are lying because they don't understand what they are reading and telling their congregation. The Bible is a law book. Not everybody understands the Bible. Unless you are a lawyer, you cannot fully understand the Bible.

Sin comes from the transgression of God's laws. If we violated God's laws we have committed sin. The remedy is to quit violating God's laws and not to ignore or throw away the laws in the trash can. That would be against logic and not smart! The cure is to repent, and not to discard the laws in the trash. God wants us to keep His laws!

Please stop telling your congregation that Jesus died for their sins. Jesus wants us to redeem our own sins (Read again Matthew 5:23,24). If that is not the case, why would He tell us this: "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, "leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First, be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.” (Matthew 5:23-24)?

What is the cure for sin against God? We have to ask Him to forgive us. And when we ask God to forgive our sin, we should also forgive others who have sinned against us. What is the remedy for sin against other human beings? Nothing? NO! We should reconcile with them first, and then ask them to forgive us. And once they have forgiven us, we have no more outstanding sin against them. In other words, we have self-redeemed our sin. This, I believe, is what He wants us to do. This is the right thing that we must do.

`And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This [is] the first commandment. "And the second, like [it, is] this: `You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." (Mark 12:30-31). This is the abbreviated version of the Ten Commandments of God that we should keep and remember!

Mark 12:30-31 tells us that we can sin only against God and human beings. Satan will accuse us of these sins if they are still outstanding on Judgment Day!

Finally, I want all to know that conspiracy with the Beast to commit fraud to get our checks and credit card numbers is a serious crime, a very serious offense! GBU.
