WHEN HE RETURNS
Jesus said that He will return. But we don’t know when. Nobody knows. But He did give us what to look for prior to His second coming. And I am going to write what He said so you all will know when you see them. Some verses I have quoted from His disciples. Where shall I begin? "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14
And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you.” Matthew 24:4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, [because] they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn [their] ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4
"Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.” Matthew 24:11
"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” Matthew 24:6
"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.” Matthew 24:7
"All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.” Matthew 24:8
"Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.” Matthew 24:9
"And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.” Matthew 24:10
"And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.” Matthew 24:12
"But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” Matthew 24:13
"Therefore when you see the `abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand),” Matthew 24:15
"But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!” Matthew 24:19
"And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.” Matthew 24:20
"For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” Matthew 24:21
"And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.” Matthew 24:22
Matthew 16:27: “For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done.”
Revelation 22:12: ““Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay everyone for what he has done.
Matthew 24:42: “Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.”
1 Thessalonians 5:2: “For you, yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.”
John 14:1-3: “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house, there are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”
Mark 9:1: “And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power.”
Summary and comments: the Scriptures said that the Gospel will be preached in all the world before the end comes. When will the end come? And who would do the work of preaching the Gospel? What motivates Christians to work and preach the Gospel in all the world? Their salvation?? NO, Christians do not believe in work that will save them. In fact, many don’t believe what Jesus said in Matthew 6:19-21
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; "but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal."For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
