TREASURES IN HEAVEN
"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one title will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. "Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches [them], he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:17-20
How do we know that we will have a chance to enter the kingdom of heaven? The obvious answer is if we do what Jesus tells us to do. What did Jesus say that we should do? He said that we should keep what the Law says, or what the teachings of the Prophets commanded us to do. And we should also teach the same. Don’t change anything! Jesus said that till heaven and earth pass away, all parts of the Law will stay intact until all are fulfilled. He doesn't change anything! And He doesn't want us to change anything either. Do we understand what Jesus said in Matthew 5:17-20? Yes, I believe we do understand except for Lucifer. Lucifer doesn’t want us to follow the Law because he hates the Law. He was evicted from heaven because of his transgression of God’s Law. One way he does this is by using humans to deceive every Christians to believe that after Jesus died on the cross the laws of the Ten Commandments also died with Him. Most Christians believe this nonsense even though they know or should have known that the Ten Commandments were given by Yahweh, God the Father, to Moses and his people and not given by Jesus when He was on earth. Logic tells me that when the human Jesus died on the cross, the Father was well and alive in heaven. The death of Christ has nothing to do with the abolishment of the Ten Commandments. According to the Christian Trinity doctrine, God the Faher, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost are three separate, independent entities. The Father never died!
Why then did we change or abolish the Laws and abandon the Ten Commandments? Do you want to know why? Some believe because the devil hated God's commandments and Laws! Satan wanted to get even with God the Father for evicting him and millions or billions of angels from heaven by making sure that no one follows the Father's Ten Commandments. He carried out his plan and he won - Lucifer crucified Jesus, and the sons of the evil kingdom destroyed God's Laws and the Ten Commandments.
Jesus said, "And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. "But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 8:11-12.
Brothers and Sisters. Do we clearly understand what Jesus said in Matthew 8:11-12? If we don’t, I encourage you to hire a good attorney to explain to you Matthew 8:11-12. The pain and suffering will be so severe that our teeth will fall off the gums from gnashing or grinding our teeth with each other. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when Jesus returns. Jesus made this prophecy. He saw it coming and told us what He saw.
I ask you to be fair and reasonable with yourself. Do not allow Lucifer to make the decision for us. Take our eyes away from the Mammon of this world and focus on Jesus. The mammon that we get is not worth weeping and gnashing our teeth. It is not worth the pain and suffering from a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-degree burn wound.
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; "but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21.
Jesus said that where our treasure is, there our heart will be also. How long will we live on earth? We don’t know. If we are lucky, we may live up to a hundred years old. Then what? We must leave everything behind. We can take nothing with us. But, if we keep our treasures in heaven, they will grow and multiply.
I believe we will meet every individual who is saved because of our hard work on earth. These are our precious treasures that moth and rust cannot destroy and where thieves cannot break in and steal.
Jesus said, "And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 8:11. And if we will sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, I see no reason why we would not be sitting down with our treasures in the kingdom of heaven. Praise God!
