DISTRICT ATTORNEY
Do we Christians know that Satan is our Chief accuser?
Revelation 12:10 said that Satan is the accuser of our brethren, who accuse them before our God day and night. Satan is the world’s district attorney. And he will throw at us accusations of our lifetime of wrongdoings. Jesus is our Defender. He is a just and a fair Defender. But can Jesus defend our conducts that are indefensible?
I believe that Lucifer will assign at least one of his angels to accuse us before Jesus for our wrongdoings on or before Judgment day. Satan will employ millions or billions of his angels to accuse us of our outstanding sins (warrants) that God has not forgiven. What is our defense? What can we say? Can we present “grace” as our defense for our wrongdoings? No, I don’t think so. Even if we do, “grace” is not an acceptable defense for violating God's laws. Jesus, the FAIR Judge, has never said that we can commit sin under “grace”. That was a blatant lie! And Jesus will not accept a defense that is based on lies. 2 Timothy 4:3-4
Millions or billions of Satan’s “district attorneys” will accuse us before Jesus, and when Jesus turns His face around, looks at us, and asks for an answer, can we answer Satan's accusations? This is my topic for discussion that I want to discuss with you all today because I am sure that the devil will not be thrilled to see us sinners take his place in heaven without a good fight. Are we ready to answer Satan? What are we going to do about it?
Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. And the LORD said to Satan, "From where do you come?" So Satan answered the LORD and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it." Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job, that [there is] none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still, he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause. So Satan answered the LORD and said, "Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life. "But stretch out Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will surely curse You to Your face!" And the LORD said to Satan, "Behold, he [is] in your hand, but spare his life." Job 2:1-6
Satan told God that Job was faithful to Him because He gave him all that he wanted, his health and his wealth. But take his health away, and surely he will curse Him, Satan said to God. He told Satan that he can do to Job whatever he wants but spare his life.
The Great Tribulation is a period mentioned by Jesus in Matthew 24 that describes the end of time. I will quote verse by verse the parts of Matthew 24 that I believe are relevant, and my following comments.
Matthew 24:11. "Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.” I believe that false prophets include false preachers, false pastors, and false Bible teachers.
:13, "But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”
:14, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached
in all the world as a witness to all the nations,
and then the end will come.”
:15. “Therefore when you see the `abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand),
:16. "then let those who are in Judea flee to the
Mountains.”
:17. "Let him who is on the housetop not go down to
take anything out of his house.
:18. "And let him who is in the field not go back to
get his clothes.
:19. "But woe to those who are pregnant and to
those who are nursing babies in those days!”
:20. "And pray that your flight may not be in winter
or on the Sabbath. Please be aware that the
Sabbath is still observed during the time of the
Great Tribulation, according to Jesus.
I will end my discussion here, and you are welcome to read the rest of the Bible from cover to cover.
