FIFTY YEARS AGO
Fifty years ago I did not preach what I am preaching today. Fifty years ago I did not do what I am preaching today. But I have learned a lot from 50 years of trial and error. And I have also learned a lot from the mistakes that other people make. Now is the time that God wants me to share with you what I have learned from my and other people’s experiences so that you do not have to go through the pain that we have experienced. I thank God that even though I came last, He put me first. And with His help, I plan to keep on writing until I can no longer write. I know that some of my articles will increase the anxiety level of some readers. But some degree of anxiety is good and necessary to stimulate learning and understanding.
Today I want to talk a little bit on the subject of coveting. It is one of His Ten Commandments. Coveting is one of the serious errors that we make. I am going to quote what the Bible says about coveting.
God says, "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that [is] your neighbor's." Exodus 20:17.
Why is this “thou shalt not covet law” so important? Because a violation of this one law can result in the violation of four other laws, such as murder, adultery, stealing, and lying. For example, when a married man lusts after a woman he doesn’t care about his wife and children. He is consumed with the new woman. Most of the time the man will leave his wife and children and live with his new wife. I think that even if his wife has committed adultery, the man should be forgiving to her.
This is what Jesus has taught us to do. My main objection to a man who leaves his wife while she is still alive and marries a younger woman is that they will live in sin until they die. The man cannot repent. Does God want the man to live in sin? How does God look at us when we live in sin? Living in sin under grace is a scam. It is a fraud! Well, I think that is all that I want to write for now.
