HAVE OUR SINS BEEN FORGIVEN?
The Bible says that on Judgment Day all will be judged according to our work, whether we have followed the law or not. The dead will be judged based on whether we are or we are not doing the will of the Father. And the will of the Father is that we are obedient to His laws and commandments. Heaven has no place for non-law-abiding souls.
Revelation 20:12 said, “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is [the Book] of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.”
Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'”
If our sins have been paid for by Jesus’ death on the cross, why are we being judged again on Judgment Day for the things that we do? By the way, I have not found a single verse in the Bible where Jesus said that He died to pay for our sins.
I believe the reason why we are judged again on Judgment Day is because many Christians are living in sin under grace. These Christians who are living in sin under grace refused to repent. And because of their refusal to repent, they have to answer to God on Judgment Day.
An example of someone who lives in sin under grace is my pastor. He left his old wife to live with a woman half his age. Instead of repenting and reconciling with his old wife, and forgiving her because she is not a good cook, for instance, and sending the young woman home; no, he kept the young woman in his home and pushed his old wife out of the door.
