HOLY SPIRIT

Today I want to talk a little bit about the Holy Spirit. What is the Holy Spirit and what is its function? Let’s see what Jesus says first. I look to Him first for the answer. Why? Because He is the source of everything that I know and have. Jesus said to His disciples, "And I will pray to the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever "the Spirit of truth”, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” John 14:16-17. Jesus said to His disciples that they know Him. What do they know about the "Holy Spirit"? What do they know about God the Son? What do they know about God the Father? The majority of Christians know God the Father and God the Son. The disciples know what Jesus said, and what Jesus did. On the Day of Pentecost, the disciples knew that the Holy Spirit was Jesus' spirit, The Spirit of Truth. Acts 2:17. The Holy Spit is Jesus' word. What Jesus said is the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is our Helper from God. He will help us do what He wants us to do for Him. He will help us understand His words. The Holy Spirit will move us in the right direction. That basically is what the Holy Spirit is. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit is a Spirit of Truth. How can we know if the Spirit of Truth that we have in us is from God or not? Simple Bro, simple. The Spirit of Truth is consistent with the Truth. What is the Truth? What is the Spirit of Truth that Jesus said will dwell in us and will be in us forever? Do you know? If you don’t know let me tell you what it is. The Spirit of Truth is Jesus’ words. Jesus' words that is in us will remind us whether we are on course or off course in our journey toward Heaven. The Spirit of Truth that God gave us is our faithful Helper partner that will help in our journey toward the Kingdom of God. Do you have God’s words in you? Do we have Jesus’ words in us, or do we have Paul’s words in us?
Paul's words come from an UNKNOWN spirit. Paul's words are not Jesus' words. If we have Jesus’ words in us, we can say with confidence that we have the Holy Spirit in us. The Spirit of Truth will stick in our conscience. It will be glued forever to our conscience. The Holy Spirit is my Helper. He can be your Helper too. But here’s the important thing that you must know. You must be obedient to God. You must be willing to keep your ears open and listen to His voice. Keep your mind open and listen to His voice even when you are in bed. Unless you are obedient to Him, unless you do what He wants you to do, don’t waste your time looking for something that is not there. Why? Because Satan can do similar works in our lives too. Satan can do wonderful works in our lives too. Satan is the great imitator!
"Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'" Matthew 7:21-23. Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and
manifest Myself to him." Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with Him” "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.” John 14:15,21-24. Jesus said if we love Him and keep His word, He will come to us and make His home in us. He will stay with us permanently. His words will live in us permanently. The Spirit of Truth will stay in us. He is our Helper that will help us in our journey to heaven. Jesus promised, "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:18.
Jesus Christ is no longer with us now. He is in heaven. God the Father is also in heaven. The only helper that is still with us is the Holy Spirit or Jesus' words - The Spirit of Truth.
What did we do with the Holy Spirit that God Jesus had sent us? What did we do with His Words? We abolished them all and flushed them in the toilet. Is that how Christians should treat God the Holy Spirit? We ignored God the Son, we ignored God the Father, we abolished God the Holy Ghost, but we worship Paul, aka Saul. Paul was called, but not chosen. He was called to stop the killing of Christians. God's Apostle James also did not agree with Paul's nonsense. Where do we think we are going with Paul?
