BIRTHDAY
Christians all over the world are celebrating a day that is supposedly to be Jesus Christ's birthday tomorrow, December 25, 2023. Is Christ happy? Is he? I don’t think he is. Why?
My daughters are also celebrating their parents' birthdays every year. They call us on Father’s day. They call us on Mother’s day. They sent us gifts and flowers. They sent us beautiful cards. They make us happy. One daughter, her husband, and her two children came to visit us in California from Las Vegas on my birthday. On the phone she always says, I love you Dad. I have no doubt that my children love me based on what they have done for me and for my wife. I thank God for giving us four wonderful daughters.
We look forward every year to receive calls from our daughters, their husbands, and our many grandchildren. They call us, send us cards, flowers, gifts, and come to visit us because they love us.
Jesus said in John 14, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” Do we keep His commandments? No, we do not! We abolish them and flush them in the toilet. Then why are we celebrating His birthday every year if we don’t love Him? What have we done to make God happy? Humiliate Him some more by flushing His words in the toilet? Are we the hypocrites who crucified Jesus on the cross? Are we? Are we the children of Judas Iscariot? Forget about celebrating Christmas if we don’t love Him. When we celebrate Jesus Christs', YHWH's, Messiah's, God's birthday on December 25th when we don't love Him, He will see us as Christian imposters and fakers. Jesus said if we love Him keep His commandments. He did not say if we love Him celebrate any day as His birthday. Don't pretend that we love Him by celebrating a birthday that wasn't His birthday. Who are we trying to fool? Give the money that we spend to buy Christmas trees to the homeless people. That will make Jesus Christ happy!
