MILLIONS ARE CONFUSED
"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide [is] the gate and broad [is] the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow [is] the gate and difficult [is] the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14.
God of the New Testaments says that the road to heaven is narrow and difficult, and only a few can find it. Brothers and Sisters, have you ever driven on a road in the mountains that is narrow and tortuous? I have when I was driving my private taxi in Indonesia many decades ago. I thank God that He prevented me from making a sudden wrong turn at one of the blind intersections that could have resulted in my car going off a steep cliff. Another reason why it is difficult to find the narrow road to heaven is this. "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.” Matthew 7:15. False teachers and false preachers make it difficult for everyone to find the truth. They confuse everybody. In addition, there are many “Bible teachers” who know nothing about the Bible who are teaching the Bible to those who know nothing about the Bible either. Unless we are taught to think like a lawyer, it is easy to misunderstand the Bible when we read them. Why? Because the Bible is a law book. I believe that people who have no law background have no business teaching the Bible to those who know nothing about the Bible. Why? Again, because the Bible is a law book. It is easy to misunderstand when reading the Bible. For example, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'" Matthew 7:21-23.
Do these men/women of great faith described in Matthew 7:21-23 sound familiar to you? They have plenty of faith, but no work. Jesus called them lawlessness practitioners. There is no detour for them as you can see. They go straight to that special place where they will wail and gnash their teeth in God’s eternal fire. They misunderstood God's will. They thought that they understood God's will, and preached like they were experts on God's will, when in reality they knew nothing about God. Don’t you believe me? You don’t have to believe me, but you must believe what God said, "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28. If we are one of the men/women of great faith described in Matthew 7:21-23, we can go anywhere we want to go - but go alone. Don’t take our wife or our husband with us. Do not take our children or our loved ones with us. Go to where we want to go - but go alone. If we misled them and cause them to stumble God will not let us go free without any punishment.
God of the Old Testaments said, “For by fire and by His sword The LORD will judge all flesh; And the slain of the LORD shall be many.” Isaiah 66:16. Do we know what the word "many" means? Many millions, or many billions? For further reading, please read Pastor-Attorney
