SALVATION SIMPLIFIED

What is salvation? My simple definition of salvation is to restore the eternal life that we have lost because Adam and Eve have sinned. What is sin? Sin is the transgression of God’s will. When God created Adam and Eve the original intention was that Adam and Eve would have a permanent relationship with God. God
however, revoked the permanent relationship with man because Adam and Eve did not do what God had told them to do. They were disobedient to God. Because they disobeyed God both were evicted from the Garden of Eden. They both lost eternal life. Salvation was taken away from them because they did not do the will of God. Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23. Jesus rejected these men/women of great faith from entering the kingdom of heaven because they too did not do what God wanted them to do. Millions or billions of souls perished during the big flood because they did not do the will of God. Lucifer and billions of his angels were evicted from heaven and lost eternal life because they too did not do the will of God. As we can see, refusing to do the will of God is not in our best interest. Even if we do not refuse to do the will of God, some can still lose salvation. Jesus said, "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:15-16. And so, why am I telling you all this? I want my readers to know that doing the will of God is mandatory for our salvation. Someone has asked, how about the thief on the cross? The thief on the cross is a rare exception. Jesus gave him a rare exemption. Are you a criminal waiting to be executed in the electric chair? Ask Jesus to forgive your crime.
What can we do if we have sinned against God’s will? Repent Bro, repent. That’s the beginning of our spiritual healing.
