A STRANGE ANSWER

Then one of them, a lawyer, asked [Him a question], testing Him, and saying, "Teacher, which [is] the great commandment in the law?" Jesus said to him, "`You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' "This is [the] first and great commandment. "And [the] second [is] like it: `You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' "On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." Matthew 22:35-40. Here's another similar text from the Bible.
“And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" He said to him, "What is written in the law? What is your reading [of it]?" So he answered and said, "`You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and `your neighbor as yourself.'" And He said to him, "You have answered rightly; do this and you will live." But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" Then Jesus answered and said: "A certain [man] went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded [him], and departed, leaving [him] half dead. "Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. "Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. "But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. "So he went to [him] and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. "On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave [them] to the innkeeper, and said to him, 'Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.' "So which of these three do you think was a neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?" And he said, "He who showed mercy on him." Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise." Luke 10:25-37.
Jesus said that in order for us to get eternal life we must do two things (a) "`You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' (b) `You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' How do we love the Lord with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind?
Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John 14:15. That's how we can love the Lord with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind.
Is this kind of English too advanced for readers to understand? Why do my readers allow the apostle Paul to confuse them with his strange theory of salvation? Who are we following, Jesus or Paul? Why?
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast" Ephesians 2:8-9.

Jesus said, "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide [is] the gate and broad [is] the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. "Because narrow [is] the gate and difficult [is] the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14. Jesus said enter the narrow gate and difficult is the way which leads to life. Do we understand what Jesus said?

Jesus said that in order for us to get eternal life we must do two things (a) "`You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' (b) `You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' How do we love the Lord? Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments." John 14:15.

Paul, on the other hand said, you have to do nothing to earn eternal life. Just believe that you will go to heaven. Jesus, however, said in Matthew 7:21-23 that Christians who have faith and no work will go to HELL!

Brothers and Sisters. Do you know how many people were saved during the big flood? Only Noah and a handful of his family members. Do you know why? Because they did some things to earn their salvation. We have to do some things to prove our faith. Do you know how many people perished during the big flood? Millions or billions. Do you know why? Because they did nothing to prove their faith. They did nothing to earn their salvation.
When we enter the narrow gate, the process of earning our salvation begins. When we enter the wide gate and broad way, we go to hell.
Finally, all you Biblical scholars with Masters and PhD degrees. Show us how you can enter the narrow gate and reach the other side of the difficult way with your faith only, do nothing, and get saved. Hell, no! If this is true, demons can go to heaven too.
