CRUCIFIERS vs. FALSE TEACHERS
"Come now, and let us reason together," says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18.
Readers, do we understand what God wants us to do here? He wants us to reason with Him. He wants us to ask Him for forgiveness of our sins. In other words, there is no “automatic forgiveness” of our sins when Jesus was crucified. God forgives us on an individual basis. There is no mass clemency. There is no mass pardon. But there is mass punishment, like the big flood during Noah's time. We have to ask for forgiveness of our sins individually.
“And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.” Luke 11:4. When we say that Jesus died for our sins, there is a presumption of automatic forgiveness, and that is a blatant lie. Christians should stop lying. God’s Commandments, the Torah, says that we should ask for forgiveness. The only time we don't ask is if we don’t know what we did was wrong. The prophet Moses says, "You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.” Deuteronomy 4:2. Why can we not add or take away from the words of God? Because it is a sin when we do that. Lying is a sin. And Christian false teachers have been doing that, lying for centuries, adding or taking away words of God as part of their strategy to make money. Can they get automatic forgiveness for lying? No! Why not? Because they know that it is wrong!
Jesus said, "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.” Matthew 5:17. Readers, do you know that those who crucified Jesus are eligible to go to heaven? How do I know that? Because Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." Luke 23:34. Jesus forgives the sin of those who crucified Him, but not the sin of the rest of us. There is no automatic forgiveness to everyone. Yes, I agree with Jesus. They do not know that the individual whom they crucified was the Messiah. They failed to recognize that Jesus was the Messiah. But, despite their failure to recognize that Jesus was the Messiah, the Crucifiers kept the Torah intact. The Crucifiers still honor the Torah. Jesus forgives them because they do not know what they did. How about the False Teachers? Are they eligible to enter heaven? No! I believe God has a special place for them that is not very cool.
Jesus said, "Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.” Matthew 24:11. How do they deceive us? They deceive us with their false teachings. Their false teachings are their fruits!
Jesus said, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor [can] a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” Matthew 7:15-20. What are their fruits? Their false teachings are their fruits.
Jesus said, "Come to Me, all [you] who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke [is] easy and My burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30.
And Jesus went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then one said to Him, "Lord, are there few who are saved?" And He said to them, "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.” Luke 13:22-24.
Do you know why many cannot enter through the narrow gate which God has widely opened for us? Because the false teachers have deceived them.
Because you have said, "We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we are in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, It will not come to us, For we have made lies our refuge, And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves." Isaiah 28:15. The false teachers are in delusion and think that they can hide under their lies.
The Apostle Simon Peter wrote, “For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known [it], to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: "A dog returns to his own vomit," and, "a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire." 2 Peter 2:21-22.
