LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATON

“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” Matthew 6:13. Readers, do you know why Jesus has taught us to include this short phrase in our prayer? Because He knows that we will be tempted not only by Satan, but also by humans like our close friends and our family members. For example, sometime ago a family member came to visit us on a Saturday. He turned the TV on to watch football, but I don’t watch TV on Saturdays. But he is not a Sabbath keeper. It was awkward for me to tell him that we don’t watch TV on a Sabbath. But I told him anyway. So, readers, be ready to face temptations from our close friends, from our relatives, from everybody, and from every spirit.
How about if a friend or a relative asks you to take a DMV written test online for him because he doesn't understand English well? Would you do it? That is the reason why Jesus taught us to include the phrase “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” when we pray. Don’t forget okay?
The other part of the Lord’s Prayer that I want my readers to remember is this, “Your kingdom comes. Your will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven.” Matthew 6:10. Always pray “Your will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven.” Why? Because if we pray our will be done on earth, and Your will be done in heaven, the divorce rate will go up and the jails will be crowded. Why? Because we are doing our will, and not His will. And when Jesus returns He will say to us, “`I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:23. Why? Because we have abolished all of His commandments and laws, and flushed them in the toilet. You don’t believe me? Wait until Jesus returns to fulfill your dream in Matthew 7:21-23.
"Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'”
