SALVATION IS NOT FOR EVERYONE
Good morning everyone. I hope my readers are all doing fine despite the problems that we see and hear around the world, particularly in the Middle East. What we are witnessing are the signs of His second coming. What we are witnessing is the end of time. And what I am doing is what the Holy Spirit wants me to write, that’s all.
I don’t have the gift of talking to you in parables. But I can write. And I will write till the end of time. I will continue to write until Jesus returns, or until He calls me home.
What will I be writing about this morning? I want to begin this article by writing about the two thieves that were crucified next to Jesus. I don’t know their names. I called them thief #1, and thief #2. While hanging dying on the cross, thief #1 said to Jesus, “Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, "If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us." But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? "And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong." Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise." Luke 23:29-43. What can we learn from this story? I learned that both of these thieves have equal chances of salvation. But one is saved, and the other is not. Why? Because salvation is not for everyone. Again, salvation is not for everyone. God knows each one of us since we were born. He sees each one of us and our potential for salvation. If we are not meant to be saved, we will not be saved! He will, however, let us run our lives in any manner we want for whatever length of time we want. Read next. Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23. These men/women of great faith were doing exactly what the apostle Paul had told them and other believers to do in Ephesians 2:8-9. Were they saved? No! Why? Because they were not doing the will of “My Father in heaven.” They were not doing the will of YHWH. They were doing their own will. They have chosen to live in sin under grace. They were not meant to be saved. And Jesus saw no potential in them to be saved. Do you understand what I am saying Bro? If you do not, don't worry because there are millions or billions of "Christians" who don’t understand it either. You are not alone. Salvation is not for everyone! The thief #2 said to the thief #1, “But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? "And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong." Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise." Luke 29:40-43. Jesus saved the thief #2 because he has shown all the potential to be saved while he was hanging on the cross! Jesus had chosen to save him. Judas Iscariot was called, but not chosen. Jesus said, "For many are called, but few [are] chosen." Matthew 22:14. What is the difference, you ask? Judas Iscariot was called, but not chosen. He betrayed Jesus in the end. Do you know of another disciple who betrayed Jesus by contradicting Him?

Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.” John 14:15,21-24.
Brothers and sisters. When we disregard and abolish all of His holy words and commandments, are we showing to Jesus that we have the potential to be saved? If we defy Jesus' wishes are we showing Him that we have the potential to be saved? NO, we are not. Do we not know who Jesus is? Jesus said, "I and [My] Father are one." John 10:30. The Jews did not believe Him. They charged Jesus with blasphemy, and crucified Him on the cross. The Gentiles or Pagans didn't believe Him either. They betrayed Him and pledge allegiance and loyalty to Paul, aka as Saul.
