UNBELIEVABLE
Readers, would you believe that Jesus has said the following, "To him who strikes you on the [one] cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold [your] tunic either.” Luke 6:29. I have never seen this except on a WWE wrestling match. A wrestler offered his opponent to punch him on the left cheek, and his opponent kicked him low in the groin area.
"Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.” Matthew 5:42. I have never seen or heard someone is willing to do this to a stranger unless the loaner is a banker and the stranger is a borrower who has high FICO scores.
"If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have [your] cloak also.” Matthew 5:40. "And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.” Matthew 5:41. There are many unbelievable teachings of Jesus in the Bible that I did not quote here. But I want my readers to read and know them all. Do you know why Jesus teaches us these pearls? Because He wants us to know that these unbelievable teachings are the common characteristics of people who live in heaven. Unless we have been practicing them in our lives daily, we are not ready to meet Him. Why? Because Jesus said, "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:48.
Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23.
Jesus said, "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide [is] the gate and broad [is] the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. "Because narrow [is] the gate and difficult [is] the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14
Do you know why it is difficult to find the narrow gate? It is difficult because it is “unbelievable”.
