DO YOU KNOW WHY?
Readers, do you know why Jesus gives us Matthew 7:21-23? "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23.
Do you know why? Because He loves us. God is love. Jesus is love. Is that not what you also believe? But Bro, remember and don’t forget that love is a two way street, not a one way street that the Bible salesmen want us to believe. Love is a two way street, and not a one way street that the Bible hackers want you and me to believe. Love is a two way street.
Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.” John 14:15,21-24.
These men and women of great faith described in Matthew 7:21-23 did not love Jesus’ heavenly Father and did not do the will of His Father, and that is to keep His commandments. And that was the reason why Jesus called them lawlessness practitioners because they don’t follow the law. If the cause of their rejection was a faith issue, Jesus would call them faithlessness practitioners, and not lawlessness practitioners. God “hates” lawless practitioners. Look at Adam and Eve. Look at Lucifer and millions of his angels. Look at the millions or billions of people whom God had destroyed during the big flood when the prophet Noah was around. God loves people who love Him. I have no doubt about it. But He will leave it up to us when during our lifetime we will start the process of loving Him. When love is mutual, then God’s love in us is complete.
Jesus said, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” When this has occurred, God’s love in us is complete.
