THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

Readers, do we know that God the Father gave us the Ten Commandments to meet an urgent need? If there is no need for a commandment, God will not give it to Adam and Eve, or to us. God the Father said, "You shall have no other gods before Me. "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness [of anything] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth [generations] of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold [him] guiltless who takes His name in vain. "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day [is] the Sabbath of the LORD your God. [In it] you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who [is] within your gates. For [in] six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that [is] in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you."
I noticed that in some families children spend more time and money on their dogs than on their parents.
"You shall not murder. "You shall not commit adultery. "You shall not steal. "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that [is] your neighbor's." Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw [it], they trembled and stood far off. Then they said to Moses, "You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die." And Moses said to the people, "Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin." Exodus 20:3-20. As you can see, God’s Ten Commandments can replace volumes of law books in the public library and in your church library. All the law books that you will find in a law library and in court are stored there to meet a need.
God the Father first gave us the old Ten  Commandments through Moses to the Jews during their flight from bondage (Exodus 20:2-17). And later God the Son, Jesus, gave us the shorter or abbreviated version of the Ten Commandments in Mark 12:30-31. `And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This [is] the first commandment. "And the second, like [it, is] this: `You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." Jesus finds it necessary to repeat the Ten Commandments and the Sabbath
in Mark 12:30-31, and in Matthew 24:20. Why did Jesus give us the abbreviated version of the Ten Commandments? I think He knew that today’s Christians are sick and tired of listening to the longer version of the Ten Commandments. But for the sake of all His children Jesus does not mind reminding us more than once. The Shepherd loves His sheep, and His sheep recognize His voice. Christians of today, however, don’t want to hear even one commandment. I believe I am correct in making this assertion. This law that Jesus gave us is not a new law for the obedient Jews. But for the disobedient, stubborn unbelievers of the so-called “followers” of Christ,  Mark 12:30-31 is a new law. Why? Because these “followers” of Christ keep no law since they were baptized. The only law they keep is the law on “grace”. God the Father said, by way of God the Son, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23.
There is no grace when we are living in sin. There is no grace when we practice lawlessness! There is no grace either when we have inherited the generational curse of a jealous God, Exodus 34:7.
As you can see, the “new” abbreviated commandments from Jesus, and the old Ten Commandments from God the Father are identical. They describe our obligations to God, and our obligation to our fellow human beings.
Whether we are saved by grace, or saved by work is determined by these two Scriptural verses, Luke 6:46, “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?”, and Matthew 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of God; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Jesus said that only those who do the will of the Father in heaven shall enter the kingdom of heaven, and no one else! Can one enter the kingdom of heaven if he does the will of the Apostle Paul? NO! Paul is not the owner of heaven! Can one enter the kingdom of God if he does the will of John, or Peter, or Matthew? NO! Can one enter the kingdom of heaven if he does the will of the fake prophets? Again, the answer is NO. Can one then enter the kingdom of heaven if he does the will of Jesus' salesmen? NO, not in a million years! These Jesus peddlers cannot deliver the promises of eternal life that they promised to their customers. They can only sell Jesus’ promises of eternal life without any warranty; and we buy it, promises of eternal life without a warranty, at our own risk! No assurance, no warranty, and no refund!
God is sick and tired of us! He said so in the Bible. And to prove it He drowned the world and killed millions or billions of humans during Noah’s big flood.
The reason, I believe, why the Father has not destroyed the world of today  is not because of His unreasonable love for the world, but because of His patience. “The Lord is not slack concerning [His] promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). God the Father gave us the Ten Commandments for a purpose, to meet an urgent need; and that is that we repent!
