WHERE IS OUR HOME?

Readers, I want to ask you a very important question. Do you know where your home is? Do we know where our homes are? Why do I ask this question? Because I have a strange feeling that many of us don’t have a home, and don’t know that we don’t have a home. Many of you don’t have a home. And this is not a hyperbole. I exaggerate nothing! Okay, let me explain what I mean. God the Father said, by way of Jesus Christ, "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. "In My Father's house are many mansions; if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, [there] you may be also.” John 14:1-3. Readers, how many of you have heard your preachers quote this verse to you in church? That’s all that I heard my preacher say, and nothing much more. And we all say amen, and amen until foams and saliva come from our mouth, remember? And we take our checkbooks out and write more checks because we are so happy.
Happy? Don’t be too happy because you don’t know what I will write next. And I know that I will upset millions of Bible hackers. And I can feel them coming. They are messing with what I am typing.
God the Father said, by way of Jesus, "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.” John 14:15,21-24. Readers, before I go I want to leave you with two important questions. Do we love Jesus? Do we keep His commandments? If we do not do any of them, we have no home! We are homeless people. God will not make His home with us, or make our home with Him.
