YOUR WILL BE DONE
"In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom comes. Your will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Matthew 6:9-13.
Jesus' disciples asked Jesus how they should pray. And Jesus told them this is how they should pray. But first, don’t forget that when we say, Your will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven, there is an implicit understanding that we know what His will is, or otherwise we would not say it that way. If we don’t know what His will is, what do we do? Start reading the Bible. Why? Because that’s how we can know what His will is. Start reading Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Read Genesis, Exodus, and the history about Adam and Eve and Lucifer. You want to know why God evicted them. You want to know why they have lost their eternal life. In short, read the Bible with the intent to know the will of God the Father. Unless we know the will of God the Father, we will hear this again when Jesus returns, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23. The will of God is found in His law, and nowhere else. The will of God is found in His commandments. The Apostle John wrote, “He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” 1 John 2:4. Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John 14:15. Can we bargain with God? No, we cannot! We can bargain with the devil only, but never with God.
Do we keep His commandments? No, we do not. Why do we not keep His laws and commandments? Because preachers and ministers say that they know more than Jesus about the Torah. When Jesus died on the cross His commandments also died with Him, so they say. They all expired! Did Jesus say that when He died on the cross all of His laws and commandments expired? No, He did not. He did not say that. Preachers and ministers claim that the meaning of the word “It’s finished” that Jesus said before He died on the cross means that the law has been “fulfilled”. They jump up and down selling Jesus at a discount without His laws. They claimed that they studied years in Universities to get their Masters and PhD degrees in Biblical studies to qualify them to interpret every word that comes out from Jesus’ mouth. Jesus had no degree in anything!
Brothers and Sisters. Do we know why He taught us in the prayer to say, “Your will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven.” Do you want to know why? Because He wants us to know that His will is superior than our will. He wants us to know that by doing His will only can we have eternal life. Did we say that in our prayer? No, we do not, Why?Because we believe that our will is superior than Jesus' will.
Look, preachers and ministers have declared that Jesus’ laws and commandments are no longer valid after Jesus died on the cross. After we made that declaration, the whole world followed us, and they all ignored God’s laws and commandments. They ignored and abandoned God’s will. They all ignored the words of Jesus. But do these Pharisees know where Jesus got His words from? Jesus said, "For I have not spoken on My own [authority]; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. "And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak." John 12:49-50.
Readers, God the Father has never died, never! Why did these former pagans teach everyone to ignore Jesus’ words, and everyone believes, not understanding that what came out from Jesus’ mouth were not Jesus’ words, but the words from God the Father. Jesus said so in John 12:49-50.
"Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
