JESUS DID NOT WANT TO DIE FOR US
God the Father sacrificed Jesus for us. It was God the Father's will that Jesus died on the cross. Have we ever thanked God the Father for His valuable gift to us? No. Why? Because the pagans did not know that God the Father had sent Jesus to us. God the Father gave Himself a gift, the Sabbath, a day of rest, and He wanted us to keep that day holy in remembrance of Him. But the Gentiles have changed the Sabbath to their day of worship, the Sunday, which is a pagan's holiday.
The gentiles have changed the seventh day of the week to the first day of the week. The Jews have never changed the holiday that God the Father gave to Himself. They honor the Sabbath. That was the only holiday that God the Father wants us to honor each week in remembrance of Him. That’s it. No other holiday. Is that too much to ask?
Everybody praises Jesus, celebrates His birthday, Easter, and I don’t know how many other holidays that Christians celebrate for Jesus. But for God the Father, nothing. Even the one day, the Sabbath, was changed to Sunday. Nobody dares to change the holiday that was assigned for Jesus to other days like December 27 or 28. Nobody honors God the Father, nobody.
Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me in that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23. Jesus wanted us to know that God the Father is more important than Jesus Himself.
Jesus said, "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one title will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. "Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches [them], he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:17-20.
Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John 14:15.
And so, brothers and sisters? Who saved us? Was it Jesus, or was it God the Father?
A sister wrote to me an email recently and said that she doesn’t believe that legalism is godly. I am not sure what she meant by “legalism”. Isn’t the 10 commandments that God gave to Moses to pass on to the Israelites a form of legalism? God uses His legal authority (law) to kick Adam and Eve from the garden. God uses His legal authority (law) to kick out Lucifer and millions of his angels from heaven. In my opinion legalism is godly, very godly. It’s not only godly, but humanly as well.
Many Christians think that heaven belongs to their mama.
Wait until Jesus returns and hear Him say, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23.
