THE TORAH
Christians and Jews believe that violation of the Torah is a sin. A sin is defined as the transgression of God’s law. The Torah is God's law. The apostle Paul believes that the Torah is dead. And here’s what he wrote. “For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to [her] husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of [her] husband. So then if, while [her] husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man. Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not [in] the oldness of the letter.” Romans 7:2-6. When I read this text, I could not believe what I read. I could not believe what I saw.
I cannot believe that crime in America will be less if there is no law in America. Even when the law is here people are still committing crimes. We are still in the flesh. How can we serve in the Spirit when we are still in the flesh without the law to remind us?
Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23. What can we tell about these men/women whom Jesus sent to hell? They were men/women of great faith, number one, but they were lawbreakers, number two. And I don’t know what else they have done other than not doing the will of Jesus’ Father. You see, lawbreakers have no place in heaven, none. That’s what Jesus said. And how do we know the will of God the Father if not through His law and commandments, how?
Are you breaking God’s law? If you are, I highly recommend that you MEMORIZE Matthew 7:21-23. Memorize also John 14:15. Matthew 7:21-23 is a screening test. Everyone who wants to go to heaven has to pass this screening test, no exception, unless you are a new thief standing in front of a firing squat.
Readers, are we ready to take this test and pass this test?
I guarantee you that no one can sneak out from taking this screening test when Jesus returns, none! Be ready!
