ONE COMMANDMENT AT A TIME (3)
God said, "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day [is] the Sabbath of the LORD your God. [In it] you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who [is] within your gates. For [in] six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that [is] in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.” Exodus 20:8-11. God told us to remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. He rested on the seventh day, the Sabbath, not because He was tired of creating the world, but because the Sabbath is a holy day. The seventh day is the Sabbath of our Lord. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day [is] the Sabbath of the LORD your God. Readers, do we understand why God wants us to observe the Sabbath?
Because no one will be saved if we ignore His commandments, none! In fact, I don’t know how God will look at Christians who work on the Sabbath. His commandments and His words are eternal. We can reject or work on the Sabbath. The devil wants us to surrender to him and work on the Sabbath for money. Don’t fall for Satan’s trap!
