THE TEACHINGS OF PAUL
I saw a video on the internet last night which describes how Paul died. He was executed. I don’t know who made the video and who executed him and where he was executed. I believe he was executed for the crimes that he had committed for killing many, perhaps hundreds or thousands of Jesus’ followers. The law finally caught up with him. This morning I want to go over with you about the teachings of Paul and correct me if I am wrong. Give me feedback at the end of my article so we can grow together. Paul wrote in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Paul wrote this text based on his personal experience when he heard the voice from heaven. He believed that he was saved because he had faith in the voice that he heard from heaven, despite his work killing hundreds or thousands of innocent Christ’s followers. He was right, so far. But was he right on the other issues?
Jesus said in John 14:15, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” God the Father said in Exodus 20:6, “but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.” In the eyes of God the Father and God the Son the LAW is very important. Why? Because the purpose of the law is to keep us straight. We do what God wants us to do, and not do what Paul wants us to do. We do what our Boss wants us to do, and not do what a fellow worker tells us to do. Is that logic too complex to understand, Bro? Only Satan doesn't understand common sense. But what did Paul say about the law? "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.” Galatians 2:16. How can we prove to ourselves that we have faith in Jesus Christ when we refuse to do what He tells us to do? How can we prove to God the Father that we have faith in Him when we refuse to do what God wants us to do? Paul doesn’t give a crap about the law. That, I believe, was the reason why he was executed by the authorities where he lives. Paul also said, “Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.” Romans 3:31. How? Hmmm, does Paul keep the Sabbath holy? How does he establish the law, by ignoring and avoiding the law? Or by keeping the Sabbath holy? The law finally caught up with him. They executed him.
